    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

He is their best signing beyond doubt. followed by Saffy and Pyle Sounds like Lipman and Stirlo are going to be longer term injuries than imagined. would be great to have stirling available in these injury ravaged times!

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

a few comments.... 1) Letting the Cheetahs in for try #1 within the first 90 seconds of the match was unforgivable. -> the first 15 minutes looked like the dark days of yesteryear, complete with Huxley at 15! 6) Huxley had a shocker, yes, I agree, but by golly he wasn't alone. Phipps seems...

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

wouldn't agree boxing Gerrard with Huxley last year and so far this year, Gerrard has been a leader in the backline and played very well. Agree re huxley though. Baffles me that Rod kept going with him last year and i truely hope hill doesnt make the same mistake. I was dissapointed and...

Form Australian Players After Round 4

delve's work rate yesterday was ridiculous. he clutch chase down tackles he was making towards the end of the game were fantastic to watch. i thought he killed that cheetah as well - 2nd half tackle - incredible the guy just got up and kept going.

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

I would suggest our forwards (lineout aside) have largely been our strength. Line out was improved yesterday. Pyle is a great jumber with excellent hands. Both Freier and Ged have a solid throw in as well and their ability to hit the target is improving. still a few key misses though...

Rules for deliberate knock down of the ball

Was very shocked no penalty try was awarded when Mitchell's pass to Kinghi was knocked down. 15m out, a 2 on 1 and Kingi was in the clear....wasn't as thought it would've been a tough pass to catch....it was a pop pass.

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

can i just reiterate that huxley is terrible. wonderful guy, but he is just too old now and his skills are way way way off.

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

Huxley's first half was as bad as his worst games last year. he moderately stepped it up in the second half, but if he plays another game this year i will be astounded. mate - its basics - catch the ball side on. he had so much time on that knock on.....one of many. zero pace and a ratshit...

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

ouch. not good. biggest loss is having to put the hux at 15. couldn't we have put phipps at 9 and king richard at 15? he was pretty solid out of there last year....certainly better than julian.

    2012 S15 NZ Conference

I caught a fair bit of Gareth Anscombe in the ITM Cup in the off season and he looked like an absolute star in that. I'd heard he was one to watch after his u-20 performances. He looked superb from what I saw of his match on the weekend. Very exciting young player - what pace! The Kiwis...

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

I don't think we should take the Cheetahs so lightly. Yes Sarel is a big loss, but don't forget the form they had towards the end of last year. they caused a few heart attacks amongst some quality opposition. they still have some excellent attacking players and some great forwards in brussouw...

    Waerea-Hargreaves to the Tahs?

ok. interesting then. wonder where he'd play? you've got one hell of an 8 up there. stock up the 6 rank would be my guess!

    Waerea-Hargreaves to the Tahs?

neither lineouts nor scrums involve dangerous tackles or men running straight at eachother ad naseum, so why have them? Rugby League....perfect for those who can't understand union and live too far away from the States to watch the NFL. on to the topic. how old is he? I think there is a...

    Super rugby 2012 attendances

should be very interesting to see how the rebels pull. first ever home fixture not on a friday night! I was moderately concerned they only pulled in 16,491 in the opener. don't know the cheetahs will draw much more than 15k. however a few games against big drawing opposition coming up...

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

would be one of a few times we've been able to put out a full strength squad, especially if Ged is back..which he will be by the sounds of it. only through the inclusion of lipman will we see this squad improve. keep it nice and soft at training boys. very much looking forward to a sunday...

    Rebels v Cheetahs - Round 4 - Super Rugby 2012

agreed. but he was superb against the reds. I'd back that "form" suspect we will see saffy slip into a starting role and davo coming off the bench to play 6 probably for chamberlain and saffy switching to 7. alternatively could put saffy at 7, chamberlain into the second row and bring jones...
