Quade telling it how it is

Given that he appeared at 10 in the bled despite barely breaking into a jog in super rugby after a knee reconstruction, I think he was and is in in the top 32. Clearly his attitude and commitment to Australian rugby is or was questionable. As I see it, the ARU's assessment was more summative...

Quade telling it how it is

I suspect Carmichael has done the best he can in a difficult situation without getting the result he wanted, if nein's reporting is accurate. I suspect Quade felt he played the game with his fine and apology but the contract offered was more like a cane than the straw that broke the camels...

If Robbie goes who should replace him as Wallabies coach?

I don't care, as long as Quade has veto power over the appointment.

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

I don't want to look like I'm wearing my reds propeller hat, but the wallaby scrum was pretty consistently worked over on the weekend, no matter who the front row was. They did win a tighthead with Ryan, Moore and Slipper. There's a nice little review of the scrummaging over at the roar, but...

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

At least Barnes showed some propensity to interact with other players in his own team. I think I saw him trying to position himself for offloads and in turn give them, and in the process running with intent. KB (Kurtley Beale), AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) take note.

GAGR Vote - Should Deans go after the EOYT?

After, during..... Shame we missed the boat on before. Totality Tony is there, I am confident that everything would be looked after.

Australia v. France 10 Nov 2012 Stade de France, Paris

I think there has been a lot of antagonism for Rob Simmons, but watching the game I felt that he did the honourable thing. As far as I can tell, he apparently decided to take no further part in the game and gave himself a self-imposed virtual red card. Only a Queenslander with a well...

Questions for Luke Burgess, Podcast Guest

Does he find it easier to play what's in front of him with a different coach behind him?

Quade telling it how it is

I've just been trying to figure out if there has been a bigger fine levied in rugby against an individual? Mike Tindall copped 25,000 pounds a year ago for dwarf throwing and slutting around at the world cup while his royal wife was at home. (It was later reduced to 15,000 pounds on appeal)...

Quade telling it how it is

Deserved what he got, showed adequately enough that he understood he had erred. The game thing was interesting light relief.

Quade telling it how it is

I was really upset when he dissed that ARU sanctioned game. I was at my local afterwards and thats all me mates were talking about. And my kid came home from school and threw his playstation in the bin, he said if Quade didn't think it was any good, then f*ck it, which was disappointing...

It may be worse than that. He may be sentenced to use a Windows phone.

    Foreign recruitment

Hansen is looking increasingly like a jackass with his bleating. It will be interesting to see how their tour evolves.

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

Certainly something to be said for playing there early in the series. More chance of the series being alive later. Or of debunking the idea that the wallabies only get close in dead rubbers.

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

Last minute call up to the corporate box for me - woohoo! There is nothing sweeter than unexpected and unlooked for catered rugby goodness, and as I explained to my wife, I really couldn't decline without career ramifications. I'm reasonably sure she bought it. Well. Surely there is a chance...

    End of Year Tour 2012

Excellent. The upside is that there are about players available for interviews up to Podslam #118.

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

Especially when he is the sole non-halfback back reserve. I would have thought you would need to pick someone you were happy to play close to the full 80. If you're happy that Mitchell is up for close to a full game (how, I don't know?) you would start him. If you're not you're playing...

Fascinating bench, back-wise. How has Mitchell been traveling in the Shute shield in the last 3 weeks?

    Dictatorial vs Inclusive coaching

The reds had a game plan and varied it according to the situation. The brumbies had a game plan and did like wise. The wallabies have a vibe.
