    Actually 1980 was closer - top 6 teams within 4 pts - also New from first to last in one year demonstrates how serendipitous life was then. This was unfortunately the last year before the arms race started to get serious - but that is for another forum.

    I think Moose Pitt was probably more responsible for Williams and Flemons having a one year Brook experience given he was involved with the Aust Schoolboys at that time.
