2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

Foley probably isn't as bad as first thought. Basically it's him or Hodge. Noah might not be 100% after the concussion, JOC (James O'Connor), Cooper out. Donaldson, Edmed etc. aren't realistic option for a Bled 1 with no time with the squad. Foley is basically last man standing.

    Brumbies 2023

I'm assuming the prime investments left already in Kuenzle and Pasitoa. Maybe we can get one of those back for 2024 season. They will be better players with a few seasons under there belts at the Force.

I like Hooper from the Brumbies as 6 for the future. Was great against the NZ teams in super rugby, very good into contact. What ever happened to Trevor Hosea from the Rebels for a lock option? Lots of hype around him last year.

    Wallabies 2023

We'd lose a home ground series to SA,NZ, Ireland, France, and England (cos we did lose to England). I agree it would be a toss up between Argentina and Wales.

    Wallabies 2023

Come on we aren't that bad, we beat England with a man down in test 1 and marginally lost the series. We are 1-1 to a very good Argentina, and we are 1-1 to the world champions, I think they would have beat anyone last match. I think we would win 3-0, or if you're really negative 2-1 to...

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

I agree on that example. But what about for 'holding on'. He blows the whistle so quickly. Give it a second or two at least. Why not let it play on, especially if the ball is now cleanly in opposition hands anyway, or at least play advantage at a minimum.

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

I thought Moore was worse then Hooper. Poor social skills (terrible with refs) and not really a primary voice in the team either.

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

Ben Mowen was a great Captain, unfortunately he was probably a better captain then he was a player and unlikely to keep his starting sport. Great line-out technician too, I wonder if he will start coaching.

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

The wallabies have lacked a great captain for a while now.

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

I think this is true too as Gordon started playing 9 and White went to the wing pretty quickly.

I think he meant in super rugby, where Wright was pretty good. I fear he is going to be one of those exceptionally well super rugby players who just doesn't suit international rugby.

I'm glad he didn't give a yellow for the deliberate knockdown, I've always hated that rule.

    Wallabies 2023

I agree, I was a fan at the start but his decision making isn't getting any better. He is playing himself out of the starting jersey in my opinion. It's such as a shame as he can be a weapon on attack.

    Wallabies 2023

I guess this is why it's so disheartening. Where to from here? None played badly but it seems like we got middleweights trying to compete with heavyweights.

    Wallabies 2023

Absolutely, which is why I love him at fullback where errors are so costly. Hodge is great but I think his best spot is the bench. It may be a blessing he's now played a decent amount at 10, his utility ability will be valuable.

    Wallabies 2023

Agree on Wright. I'm happy he sorted out his high ball issues, but his decision-making is still poor. I think Petaia is the better option with a higher ceiling.

    Wallabies 2023

There's a chance for sure. But I think there's a better chance Kellaway will get the gig (hopefully after a full season at 15 in super rugby). I was impressed with Kellaways limited performance.

    Wallabies 2023

I disagree with this. I think the boks style of play limits there ability to score points. It may seem like we are in reach but the reality is we never looked like firing a shot. The boks completed dominated territory. The score-line is flattering. I agree we defended well but we were...

GAGR Wallaby POTY v South Africa (2nd test)

My exact thoughts, I ended up going for Hodge since he was sold under the high ball but didn't really do much else. Couldn't bring myself to nominate another forward.

    Wallabies 2023

Yeh so did i. I hope I'm not wrong I put him in my 3-2-1's. He was solid under the high ball, no errors i can recall.
