I'm predicting that Wests, Easts & Snbk will improve in QPR20. Consistentcy is the key for these clubs and that probably relates to depth & injury toll. Brothers, Bond & GPS to slide down a little. Uni will clearly depend on how close they can be before the Super troops come back and...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2020

Interesting Round 1 QPR20 Souths & Easts will be glad to get their trips to Bond & Hugh Courtney out of the way early in the season. Uni v GPS I suspect will tell us more about GPS than Uni. Has GPS premiership window shut I suspect it may have. Wests v Snbk sees the return of Evan Willis...

i think Sunnybank and Bond have had a pretty mixed bag over the last two seasons. Snbk massive changes of coaches, administration and playing personnel. Bond went really close to making 4 in 2018 and I think they went back marginally in 2019 - does just missing the 4 every year get to you...

Will be interesting to see how Dammers' Magpies go in 2020. He had good success with Sydney Uni not so much with GPS. His 2019 Souths colts were a very good side - dominated the competition. He's been in the coaching game a long time including Nudgee & Japan. I think maybe that they'll...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2020

Talking of talented youth - do you think Souths will bring through into QPR20 a fair swag of their 2019 Colts 1 premiership team who were very dominant this year? Souths have been smart in terms of a development from the bottom up as opposed to the Buzz buy/bring in method which worked in 2015...

Ruggy your new talent leads me to something that I have see over the last 5+ years is the fast tracking of school boy star straight into Premier grade first year out of school & the fact that some clubs use the promise of a premier grade spot in the recruitment of the tender aged talent. Is it...

Professionalism has nothing to do with it in an event. When Ben Johnson was stripped of the Olympic 100 metres Gold Medal at the Soule In 1988 they were allegedly ametuer athletes. It is about getting an unfai advantage- it's cheating. It should have no impact on the club - unless there is...

No moral indignation at all but I do think that the QRU should have made some form of statement even to broadcast the fact that the QPR players are tested randomly and if caught they get treated under the ASADA code. The QPR may in the greater part be played be amateurs but there are...

There is precedent for retrospectively awarding the best & fairest medal. Back in the old Rothman medal day when there was a tie they awarded one medal on a count back. Many years later they awarded medals to those that missed out on a count back.

Why has the player in question not been stripped of the 2018 Alec Evans medal? It would appear that he tested positive during the course of the season for which he was awarded the medal? (27 June 2018 would have fallen within the QPR competition rounds if not definitely before the grand final)...

Here's my 2020 bolters I recon Souths & Wests on the back of youth will scare a few next year but the issue for both will be consistency throughout the season. Interesting thing in coming months will be who lines up for each club in round 1 - does anyone have any player movement details?

I think there is a lot of jockeying going on, and we may well see a fair bit movement in the off season.

I'd really love to see Isaac Lucas in the 7s environment - he's such a good broken play runner it would be very interesting to see whether there are moves to fast track him into 7s before the Tokyo Olympics. I appreciate that this wouldn't thrill the Reds but RA might think of targeting Super...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2020

It's a pity that QPR7s is run at the same time as NRC but understand that there isn't really another envelope to play it. Just as we would like to see the Aus7s guys playing NRC because our pool of talent cf NZ can't handle blokes being pigeon holed as a 15 or 7s player at an early age. I...

Thanks Reg - better get out to Bottomley & support BC on Saturday then! Tough challenge for QC (Quade Cooper) in Fiji. Both games appear to being played at the same time.

It would appear from the table that it is still possible that BC & QC (Quade Cooper) can still make the finals is that correct?
