    Waratahs 2012

That is a mighty strong side......It will be interesting to see how Pretorious fits in with the team, how Alcock might go on a week in week out basis, and whether or not Timani's handling skills have improved, but there are very few questions outside of those for me.

    IRB Sevens 2012

You're right about the Kiwi's Inkosi, they were everywhere! Samoan's Kenyans and Fijians also had good support though I guess...need plenty more OZ supporters next year. Spoke to some people who were in the 'party' area at the end of the stadium and they said it was a hoot...certainly looked...

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

Tend to agree with you FP, not too many serious takeaway's from the game that weren't already evident. O'Connor went well at 10 but I am looking forward to seeing how he goes there this weekend before passing comment.

I couldn't remember Mansell's name, he's the young bloke who played wing a number of times this year isn't he? Lot's of pace and looks like an athlete...was impressive. There are also club stalwarts like Jack Mullins and Lachy Walker who give it 100% when they're on the paddock, and Mills the...

I'm fairly certain that was Peter Hynes' modus operandi in 2010.

Went down to Skilled Stadium for the day yesterday and have to say I enjoyed myself. Not a sellout crowd but the people there enjoyed themselves. The Fijians were awesome and combined ridiculous skills with awesome power. The young Aussies did bloody well to finish 4th and played very well to...

    National Academy 2012

Have to agree Tranq. I saw LG's answer but how can a bloke who wins the "Golden Boot" be left out of the Academy the year after picking up the award? Surely $5K is not too much to test the worth of the bloke who got the MOTM against the Kiwi's?

    IRB Sevens 2012

Whilst wishing all the players well I really hope Jordie Tuapou kills it. A very good footballer who captained OZ schools, the bloke has all the skills but is apparently too small to be a forward in the big show. Sevens just may be the stage for him to shine.

Have watched a few of these youngsters over the years and genuinely wish them well. I'll be there on Saturday, cheering loudly. Young side, so if they make the quarters that will do me.

I think that Coleman is a special talent and would thrive outside of To'omua. Why is Lilo at 15 such a bad idea?

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

I'm not. Happy to eat my hat but JOC (James O'Connor) is not a 10, and a loose structure that is a Barbarians game might convince too many that he is the answer.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

It's unfortunate to see this many guys leaving the Coast for Brisbane based clubs. I notice that three of them are going to UQ, they're going to be doing well to crack Prems with the depth that exists there. What positions do they play? Blain is a good pick up for GPS. A very good player and...

Was reading a write up about Sean McMahon in the local rag this morning. Pretty impressive for him to be playing this week while his mates are all at schoolies!

    National Academy 2012

Several guys with decent Brisbane Premier experience that might be able to step up in an emergency. I'm thinking Blain, Ah Wong and Wade. Lee - have you assumed Wade is a hooker or is that listed somewhere? I remember him as a flanker for Qld and OZ A schools in 2007, but he may have been...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

I get your point but in Easts case, I think that the guys who have been mooted to join will slot into positions which are thin in terms of depth. Enever is an Aus U20 second row and Easts could probably do with another lineout option. I rate Butler and presume he will walk straight into the No.8...

Lot's of debutants alright but I guess that goes with the youth and development policy. Seems light on for forwards? Who is Danny Routledge, I think I've heard of the others?

    Queensland Sports Awards

Bloody hell, Qld will do well to match that year in sport going forward. Look who missed out: Firebirds, Sally Pearson, Jason Day........

    National Academy 2012

Excellent work Austin, thanks for that. Interesting to see that Bennetts is still in the Academy in Sydney. How many years is that for him? Must still be rated so just needs a good year without injury I guess. The Brisbane list is interesting with a few guys who were in Canberra (Fou...

    Waratahs 2012

Wow, he'd have to be the quickest at the Tah's then wouldn't he? With that height he might end up being a pretty big footy player.
