Maybe the last 4 rounds need to be ignored for qualification purposes. Clubs are unlikely to stack lower teams until they know that the higher teams cannot make the semis and with last 4 rounds many teams are still a chance at the semis. This idea may work. Hopefully it stops the situation...

Any ideas on how to salvage semi finals creditibility in subbies. To see 1st graders running around in 2s and 3s impacting scorelines and sending 'real' teams who have played together all year out is very dispiriting.

Problem with this is KOBS and Hawkesbury valley may be best placed so consolidation in a lower Div is on the cards. Same goes for Comvicts, Mac Uni and now Merrylands is all but gone. Same problem. Too many grades, not enough players.

Maybe they can go straight to Div 1. Forest and Lindfield will gladly step aside for them.

An interesting scenario subbies may face. Potentially no clubs wishing to go up from Div 2 or 3 and multiple clubs across the DIV's wishing/needing to go down to survive and rebuild.

What will they allow Old Iggies to,do this year if they wish to do the same? Big weekend for Lindfield and Forest in 2nd Div. Which team can throw the most games so to not go up to 1st div and certain annihilation.

I dont think we have the luxury of 3 years to make changes. DIV should consist of 4 + Colts 3 + Colts 3 + Colts (opptional) 3 2 Excess players will lead to a massive increase in Halligan Cup games matches which cater for older more time constrained players.

It doesn't get any better elsewhere. Knox lost 97-0 in 2nd grade. BOBS 2nds 80-0 & 3rds 57-0 when both teams were still in contention for semis. 3rd Div KOBS got done 122-0 and Oatley got pasted 97-10 both in 1st grade. How will subbies spin this one....let me guess music festival...

40-7 is a massive scoreline for a team that was traveling 10-1. Certainly has thrown the 2nd DIV CC race wide open. All of a sudden Forest look like the club most likely to be heading to DIV 1.

What has happened to Hunters Hill? Flogged in 1st grade and didn't win a grade against Forest. Tough now for BOBS and Hills who will either have a mid week game or a double weekend. plenty of clubs have a tough few weeks with multiple away games and numbers dwindling.
