Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

I agree and that's what I think they'll do. Campbell at 15 and Petaia / Vunivalu @ 14/23. Daugugu looked slow in space as well(for him). I thought his decision making looked poor and was well beaten in defense a couple times. Shame as I thought he was going to go on to be a world beater until...

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

That was good hitout. I thought the Reds were the better team and left quite a few tries out there. My takeaways: Lynagh was good, he is quite a mature player for his age. Almost always makes the right decision. With both him and Henry the Reds have a very good kicking duo. Henry was great. I...

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

I think pretty much immediately or instantaneously. From memory you can rewind the live feed as well so think it pretty much uploads as it streams.

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

I'm in a similar situation on the East Coast US Marce. You will be able to watch a replay on Stan using a VPN. The Reds usually put up the game up on YouTube afterwards. It's usually the same link at the actually stream now I believe. Could be wrong though.

I almost had a stroke reading that. It's like a mix of a pre schooler's first essay and Google translating Cantonese to English.

    Reds 2023

Thoughts on the squad? Seems quite underwhelming to me. I was hoping for a couple more "bigger names"

Jock is deceptively big. He is just in proportion. The Italian 15 is 5ft 10 @ 77kgs. Jock is 6ft 1 and at least 10 kgs heavier. You don't need to be a 100kg outside back if you have what matters between the ears. I get what you're saying is in jest but unfortunately it's what some people think

Fair points Viking. From what I've seen Jock brings more calmness than Wright though. Wright brings more physicality when he wants to. He does surrender in contact a fair bit which I don't like, the bloke is obviously strong and I'd love for him to drive through contact a lot more than he does.

But is it? They have played a similar amount of pro rugby games(at super level) and I'd argue that Jock has more of a test match temperament than Tom. Pretty much all of Campbell's appearances have been at 15 where as Wright's are mainly on the wing. I'd argue that the game time at a specialist...

Maybe Uru. Who I see as directly competing with Hanigan. Uru will likely overtake Hanigan in the next year or two if he keeps his current trajectory going. He just needs to tighten up a couple parts of his game. Also perhaps Daugunu however he needs a bit more smarts to his game. We have...

I reckon he just needs to feed the players outside him consistently and kick in general play well. If he does that he will get a solid pass mark. With Hodge outside him he should, in theory, provide an experienced head to take pressure off him. Then with Ikitau, Mark, Jordy and Wright running...

Campbell should be starting 15 imo. The back 3 selected are all strike wingers, Campbell is a fullback... the guy with game nous, the vision and ability to set up those players around him. He also has significantly more experience at 15 than Wright, so you can put that to bed. One of those 3...

I'm good with Rennie. He has had a horror run with injuries, I think there would be some decisions he would take back in hindsight during his time with the wallabies however I know the players rate him very highly and I'd like to see what he can do with a full squad next year. A couple of...

Agreed and if you watched this year you would see he made several clutch kicks.

Koro actually has a BIG boot and has shown it a few times this year. I'd like to see him use it a little more as it is another string to his bow and puts the back 3 in doubt. They tend to kick to him because they knew he would always run it back, that boot can screw with opposition tactics .

I agree with you mate. Think your points are valid and well thought out. What happens if you lose 2 line outs in the 1st 20 mins of a game which you would have scored off? You go from being 14 points up with score board pressure to having to chase the game. Not sure how people can't understand...

Seems nuts to me they aren't starting Skelton. Close to best on ground last week. This would be the game to let him run himself into the ground for 50/60 mins and see if he is effective against the best packs in the world.

White? I'd much rather have Jock or Kellaway at 15 than Hodge. It'll be interesting to see if Jock has done enough in these past 2 games to sway Rennie's thinking of him.

I liked what Skelton brought in attack and defense. He does need to work on his footwork leading into our attacking rucks. He missed quite a few cleans today, whether it was due to a bad read of the lead up to the ruck or his footwork leading up to the ruck. The rest of his game was great...
