    Reds 2022

Agree with this. I actually thought it was 3 times adding even more leniency from the Reds. Either way Slipper moving on has been the best for both parties and it was done without running his name through the mud. He is a great player and bloke, I was sad to see him leave the Reds but...

Reds v Pasifika, Suncorp Stadium, Friday 20 May,

Of course Mafi! So 8 of 23 still out then. Soo much of this comp is luck with injuries. Makes you feel for the Rebels earlier in the season.

Reds v Pasifika, Suncorp Stadium, Friday 20 May,

From my count we have Thor, Paisami, Nasser, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Wright, Ngongorr and Henry. Probably 4 starters and 3 bench in our best 23. I didn't realise it was that many either till I thought about it.

Reds v Pasifika, Suncorp Stadium, Friday 20 May,

Pretty good Reds team when you consider they still have 7 of their 23 injured. I'm hoping they can get some consistency and shape in attack this week, they will need it heading into finals.

    Wallabies 2023

Kellaway on the wing over Wright at test level is a no brainer. They are both great athletes/rugby players but what Kellaway has between his ears is what makes him a test player and the lack of makes Wright a Super player. Ikitau is out best 13. Perese, while damaging running the ball, needs...

    Wallabies 2023

QCs performances last year at 10 were the best, most rounded and test like performances I can remember seeing from a Wobs 10 in the past decade. He looks to be in the best shape he has ever been in and appears to be a consummate professional. Playing in Japan and having a year off in brisbane...

    Reds vs Highlanders

I'd rather have: 11. Petaia 14. Vunivalu 15. Campbell Than: 11. Campbell / Daugunu / Grealy 14. Vunivalu 15. Petaia Campbell hasn't been bad by any measure. I suspect he is trying to balance his role a bit with JOC (James O'Connor) gone. Affecting his normal game. Petaia will play a hybrid game anyway. We...

Hurricanes v Reds Sat 23rd April

Bugger. We were always in strife if JOC (James O'Connor) went down. Personally would have had 10: Stewart 12: Henry or 10: Stewart 12: Paisami 13: Flook... Suspect this is what they will do if things aren't going well. I thought LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was off the injured list?

Waratahs vs Chiefs. Fri April 22, 2022

I really like that team. Hope RWV gets on around the 50m mark.

    Waratahs 2022

Brumbies I'd imagine. 10: Lolesio - Edmed - Iona 12: Edmed - Lolesio Between the 3 of them should have it covered. No doubt another 12 backup somewhere in the squad. Edmed would go a great way to securing a stronger 10/12 combo from 2023 onwards with Simone leaving.

I have noted this too Reg. He seems to get caught on his heels/flat footed quite a bit. Wonder if a little tweaking of his technique would make a decent difference.

    Waratahs 2022

I liked Newsome at the Force(?) and his first year at the Tahs. Seemed quite dangerous. Seemed to lose it a bit the last couple years. Even a bit of his pace so I wonder if he was carrying some niggles or playing mind games with himself. He is looking fast this year, more comfortable and...

Rebels v Reds Friday 15 April

Look I don't agree with them bringing a old bull out of retirement for a game but I do understand if they don't think the next cab off the rank is ready. This reply on Facebook tells me that they are concerned about the 5th(?) in line being ready for super rugby scrums. In the unlikely event...

Yup wrong thread. 100 beers will do that to you

    Reds 2023

Im sure there are players who don't love Thorn's style. Some have already shipped off. Those left over have gone on to grow as individuals and as a group. TT does not strike me as one of this guys and his insta post says it all. He may want his minutes to be managed a bit better which is fair...

    Waratahs 2023

Mate 100% I really cannot understand why these others are bagging him. Especially saying he isn't as big an attacking threat as Big TN which is just completely false. Might be sour grapes as he only hit his strides after leaving NSW. As you alluded to he isn't just a winger. I'd love to see...

    Brumbies 2023

IMO Edmed would be a great pick up for the Brumbies. Capable 10/12. Off contract. Stewart off contract in QLD. Creighton's brother as well. Any would be good pick ups. Wouldn't be surprised to see 2 of these 3 end up there next year unless they manage to get an experienced 10/12 from overseas...

Rebels v Reds Friday 15 April

You would imagine this will be an all out aerial assault on Friday with Suli and Jordy in the back 3. Any advantage, where the Reds can put a contestable kick up around the Rebels goal line, will be tough for Melb to contain.

Rebels v Reds Friday 15 April

Yeah seriously odd. Any Rebel insider got any idea? Wonder if it could be something as simple at To'omua wanting to play 10? I'm actually quite excited to the idea of 10. Gordon 12. To'omua. I reckon it would work really well.

Western Force v Waratahs: Saturday 16th April

Should be a good game, I like the look of both teams actually. Couple good players out for each team. I'd have started Kahui for Godwin and Fines to start but that's about it for the force. Would have contemplated starting Roberts for the Tahs as I think he is most effective from the get go...
