    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Mayb Maybe he wanted to set a bar / level he believe they could achieve to actually compete against the best in the world? He did repeatedly say this as well as commenting they weren't where they needed to be to perfect their game plan. Clearly they were trending in the right direction though...

    Wallabies 2023

Agreed regarding Samu. I can't ever recall him having a poor game for the Wallabies. There was maybe 1 game he was average but he always seems to lift for intl footy. Huge impact off the bench with great experience now. I think it ties in with the latest shiny new thing out of NSW being Gleeson...

    Wallabies 2023

Samu missing out is rough. He always brings much needed energy off the bench. Would be in my 23 every game. I would have liked to see him trialled at 7 as well. Suspect Gleeson will get a chance to show what he has got against NZ and if he performs will go to the WC over Samu. Has Samu signed...

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

I I don't think he is referring to the definition of gifted. More the fact that you said a bloke, who is very clearly a gifted athlete, isn't one.

He is actually firming now isn't he? Smart player, good defender. I really like Foketi as well but see him primarily as a 12 and don't think Kerevi is a 13 these days(defensively). The way rugby is played now though the number on their back is just that... a number. They can still play other...

It's the kids 2nd test match... and out of position at that. He isn't the reason they lost.

This regarding Wright? If so I absolutely agree. Incredibly talented. Think he needs to be chucked on the wing. I feel like Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) could be a pretty exceptional 15 in time. Not yet though. Kellaway and Petaia safer options at the back currently IMO.

    I wouldn't mind seeing: 1. Slip 2. Jordan 3. AAA 4. Arnold 5. Skelton 6. Holloway / Samu 7. McReight / Kemeny 8. Bobby V 9. White 10. QC (Quade Cooper) 11. Marika 12. Kerevi 13. Ikitau 14. Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) 15. Wright / Petaia / Kellaway 16. Fez 17. Bell 18. Zane or Schoup(?) 19. Frost 20. Holloway / Leota / Samu...

If leota is good to go they need to start getting him game time. Hopefully he is on the bench this weekend.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I can't help but wonder how the end of year tour would have gone last year under Rennie if he had access to Quade, Marika, Kerevi, Skelton, Arnold and the leniency Jones has been offered.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

There is some real 1st class absolute dribble on this thread. Mainly people with agendas. Quade was fine. Clearly playing to a (poor) game plan. It was obvious because everyone else was doing it as well. He defended fine. Fell off a couple as any 10 would bar the absolute exceptions. His...

Ha Marika actually has a decent boot on him. Not sure about his tactical kicking nous though

    Wallabies 2023

Eddie refers to Leota a fair bit. I rekon he will get a few chances to show where he is at. I guess Holloway is a known quality. Personally I don't think LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is dynamic enough for Intl backrow

    Wallabies 2023

I think front rowers can go back on for an injury right? I get your point though. I think Tom will get a few opportunities. However if he nails this then I suspect he will be in pole position for 6

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

If the mail is true then it is classic Eddie challenging these blokes. Particularly Hooper, Vuni and Hodge imo. If Hooper comes out and kills it I reckon you can pretty much guarantee he will be in Eddie's 23. Vuni will have to show a huge amount of improvement off the ball. Would he be there...

What on earth? The 13 was O'Donnell.

The 13? Interesting, I thought he had a pretty poor game.

I also thought Bowen came good. The issue for me was the slow ball from Wilson. Lack of meters/physicality from most of our forwards, slow ball from the ruck, handling errors and bloody lineouts were our big undoing.
