Will the Reds make the Final?

Re the Reds, after Friday, yes they could go all the way. I'm just hoping they can wrestle their way to 5th as I want to see Brumbies and Reds both make the semis. Ath.

Will the Reds make the Final?

I was very impressed by the Canes standard of play, down two key players and still able to play good rugby. They definitely have a good shot at beating the chiefs, I think it will come down to whether Cruden plays or not. Ath.

    Super Rugby: Finals 2012

Feed_me - if its the same as the RWC there is a kick off.

    Super Rugby: Finals 2012

As we approach the finals we're all pondering the various permutations as the Brumbies and Reds run their race to the finals. Here's how the draw works (source: www.rugby.com.au): The six teams will be made up of the Conference winners and the three next teams (Wildcard Teams) with the...

Will the Reds make the Final?

It's pretty much financially essential for each of the RUs, so it's a valid business decision. Good for fans too. Tho from some posts here I think some red fans would rather no aussies in the finals over the tahs!

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

There isn't a team in rugby union that wouldn't pick them. But rugby is a simple game. Have good defence. Beat oppositions defense. We have Beale, Genia, JOC (James O'Connor), Ioane. Also AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Mitchell and Turner. Do you think maybe McCabe and Horne might add some real value to that?

    Rebels 2013

    that is very bad news.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Simmons a stand out. I still don't think that was 100% from him, but he was damn good at 90, for Wallabies sake I hope he can grow from that, personally I doubt it. Even so a shoe in for the tests on the back of that damn fine performance. Cooper was sweet. Smart, well timed, in control. As I...

Nice lineup, I think it will do ok. Is Luke Jones injured? Ath.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

nice reminder that the ABs are about defence as much as offence, 89% is more than almost all centres averaged in the super rugby last year. Ath.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Dear Coopy Big fan and I reckon you are going to be one of the greats of the game, hell you almost are already, but I have to tell you I am hoping we walk all over you on Friday. Yes that will probably see the Reds stuffed but Rebels are a team on a mission, I am sure you understand, Regards...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Actually we have seen him swerve, and quite well: during the Eden park Bledisloe only a very quick acting Carter managed to pull him down before he could get past the pod of ABs properly and put JOC (James O'Connor) into space. I lost the footage but didnt he also have a couple of very tidy little runs and off...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

For sure JB, but Deans knows that more firepower is coming with Beale at fb, JOC (James O'Connor) to wing and one of AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) horne to bench. Minimal change and some good firepower. In that lineup I guess he's hoping diggers and JOC (James O'Connor) inject themselves a lot; reasonable but limits our width some.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I agree, but to be fair I think new ABs tend to be much more finished products, Deans has been forced many times to look deeper. Don't mistake me, I'm a huge believer in McCabe, have been since I saw his attitude v Samoa, but to put him at 13 when he is only just starting to get good lines at...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Unlike many here I don't want to see a playmaker 12 and I don't want McCabe at 13. Comparing a player like McCabe to Conrad Smith is a very long bow. Smith runs superb lines and has immaculate timing. He is a polished and gifted 13 ideally suited outside a crashballer 12. McCabe is a fast and...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

Barbar's video footage captured Timani's efforts quite well, but it has done little to change my view that he lacks drive. I have a similar criticism of him that I do Simmons, he isn't showing the level of commitment I expect from a test player. It isn't a matter of how many games he has...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

don't worry Richo, soon we will move from centres to 10s - qlders will want cooper - nsw will want barnes - most want JOC (James O'Connor) at wing or centre so, Deans will send JOC (James O'Connor) to 10! Ath.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

Well heres my personal rating of our forwards based on what I saw or consider they can be relied on to deliver; Robinson 7 TPN 6.5 Moore 6 but will do better Alexander 4 but could do better Palmer 6 want him in Kepu 7 getting better and better Sharp 6.5+ Simmons 5 laziness annoys me lineouts...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Well Barbar, if Horne had been involved it wouldn't have been as just an accomplice, that was the whole point of the debate. But I agree somehow someone would have said Ant would have been a better hitman (and I'm inclined to agree), and then Slim would have said whaaaat???!! , , , McCabe is...

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Haha, well I hope Genia doesn't play but the bugger is like a clockwork! Morty is going to be amped and the whole team-fans-stadium will be amped with him. Going to the game can't wait to be back that fantastic AAMI atmosphere. Reb - els... Reb - els...
