I must say I thought the Reds did better than expected last night. I think they were unlucky with some calls but that comes from urgency and the Tah's were more urgent than the Reds. I didn't see footage of Hooper putting the ball down and it looked to me like a Reds player was in the way but...

I think the only issue with the Skelton hit was he came in from the side. I'm happy with the contact but his entry made it worse as players don't expect to be hit from that angle.

Was better when there was a layer of fresh snow on the ground and the rugby pitch was the only green you could see. The old pavilion overlooking the field in the bottom corner was great too, unless you coached the home team and they were loosing as you were given a lot of advice.

Dan Carter is 176cm and he goes ok. His weight is around 92kg these days but I'm sure he was quite a bit lighter at school. Talent and skill will dictate who gets picked at 9 and 10, not size.

Brockton Oval in Stanley Park Vancouver is pretty amazing. I had the privilege of coaching there a while back and every game I went to I was in awe of the surroundings.

I have looked at a variety of sports for my kids to participate in over the winter months and rugby is pretty cheap. I pay $290 at our local club and get training shirt, shorts and socks as part of that. My oldest son played soccer last year and it cost me $350 and only a team cap was included...

Would be nice if they could drop the fees. I don't know how some families do it. The cost of some of these elite programs is astronomical.
