    2020 crowds and ratings

From The Aus today - no mention of Super Rugby but I am sure an interesting read for anybody following this thread... The Kayo sports streaming service is accounting for more than 30 per cent of Foxtel’s major football match audiences as ratings for the NRL and AFL boom. Foxtel has enjoyed...

I love hodgey in jersey 23 in gold. Allows a 6-2 split, which I think we may especially need this year with a dearth of experienced locking options but some exciting backrowers to rotate through.

    Waratahs 2020

I guess whoever is next up in the NSW/Junior Wallabies pathway. Didn't have anybody in mind particularly, just think it's not the worst thing if an incredibly loyal servant who is eligible wherever he is in the world has his wages paid by a NH Club and we can continue to develop next man up.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If we feel like we've hit peak politics in Australian Rugby, wait until we introduce a national Club competition which sees big teams in QLD/NSW fail to qualify (results, or administrative selection) and sees professional players switching Clubs willy nilly. Will be unbearable...

    Waratahs 2020

Yep, I take that point too. But we don't have a competition locked in currently and the well is fairly dry...

I don't understand why people in 2020 are still not paying for journalism. Apologies in advance if you pay for oher subscriptions and not The Aus, but the constant posting about paywalls on this site astounds me

    Waratahs 2020

Quite the contrary - here is a known quantity who is eligible for the Wallabies under the current deal and is taking a spot in a side which could go to a developing lock, a position we definitely need to build competition for spots in. To me, sounds an absolute win-win

    Australian Rugby / RA

Clubs have normally named teams internally by a Monday afternoon, with minimal changes. Creating an event of it - jsut like the AFL, whose teams are named Thursday night and first revealed by their broadcaster (7) on Melbourne news, is the way to go about it. It's definitely an improvement on...

. My personal power rankings of Australian-based lock options: 1. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) 2. Simmons 3. Phillip 4. Neville 5. Hanigan 6. Swain 7. Blyth 8. Lee-Warner Others include McCauley, Staniforth, Stolberg, Hosea, Haangana, Haylett-Petty, Frost, Wood, Pugh, Grant, Atkins. To assert that he's "not very...
