    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

It would be great if Hamish Stewart actually consistently did this.

Is this guy a troll or some kind of AI bot?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

We have Carlo Tizzanno as our starting 7; it’s unbelievably dire.

    Wallabies 2024

I think in the long term we’re stronger with a Ikitau and JS/ Petaia combination then anything with Paisami or Foketi.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I did but I’ve also watched enough of him over the last three to four years to judge him on one poor season. Honestly I think Schmidt has picked on form, but it’s also clear that he hasn’t watched Australian rugby closely over the last few seasons. It’s the reason we have ended up with Noah L...

    Wallabies 2024

Good point but I think he’s a standout.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

He is not good enough to be as insufferable as he is; you know you’ve gone too far when your own fans have turned against you. But we do? Ryan Lonergan could have been in the squad from day one and we lose absolutely nothing.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Nic White is obviously unbelievably skilled and I imagine his box kicking is impeccable at training. But overall anything good he does in a game (and he’s good for one 50/22 a game) is outweighed by poor decisions and execution. We have other options whi at worst are equally bad without being...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I’ve said it literally at least seven times now, but Nic White should never play for the Wallabies again. I honestly don’t understand. His box kicking and propensity to kick the ball away at all times is just criminal. There was a period in the first half where he box kicked (obviously it...

    Wallabies 2024

I think long-term Ikitau could actually be a fantastic 12. He’s robust in contact, has a good short passing game and the left foot is handy. I just don’t really have faith in the Australian coaching system to make it happen.

Do you understand how obnoxious and frequently incorrect you are?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I think we are in the exact opposite end of the spectrum; a 10 that can tackle is a luxury, we just need one who can somewhat pass, run and kick.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Nic White, a Joe Schmidt gameplan, and atrocious weather; we are in for absolute spectacle.

BR I often agree with much of your analysis but can confidently say that Ollie Sapsford and Bayley Kuenzle are not the answer.

    Queensland Reds 2025

100%. There are countless of examples of small players excelling (especially in the 15 jersey) just look at D Mac or even Campbell. He just hasn’t shown enough with the ball; he’s not that elusive and isn’t a second ball-playing option.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Let’s also not pretend that Mac Grealy is more than what he is, or that he’s a material loss to the Reds. He‘s had substantial opportunity and while he‘s a hard worker, I haven’t seen him break a tackle nor does he really seem particularly elusive. He’s a depth outside back with a high work...

    Wallabies 2024

I’d agree with all of that but it’s a little bit of a deviation from your original argument about him being limited.. He had considerably more upside than his competitors, and kicking is coachable. Rugby Australia should have invested In this instance.

    Wallabies 2024

I would have been offended if Rugby Australia had approached with an offer they though was reasonable and in line with competitors, after watching Noah consistently underwhelm.

    Wallabies 2024

Not sure that logic is too sound Slim, then every fly-half in Australia is limited because they don’t excel across all skill sets. The guy can run, pass and tackle at an elite level for his position. And it’s not like he can’t kick at all, he was still deemed the best place kicker at the...
