Welcome to the forums of Green & Gold Rugby.
We have recently made some changes to the amount of discussions boards on the forum.
Over the coming months we will continue to make more changes to make the forum more user friendly for all to use.
Thanks, Admin.
Good representation of Clubs across all grades.
Obviously very happy with Souths having 3 teams in semi-finals and all three progressing to GF's.
Very good effort by Uni. to have 6 teams in GF's.
I would think that GPS would once AGAIN be disappointed with getting 9 teams to semi-finals...
The Bankers played very well and capitalised on just about every Souths error and there were many. Souths, IMHO, are missing the experience and steadying influence of Mafi Kefu at #10 or #12 (injured), Andy Muirhead #15 transfered to Southern Districts in Sydney to make a bid for the NRC, Kiwi...
I haven't been raising the Albert Anae matter, merely responding to other posts from TT and Filth regarding the matter. I would rather be discussing the players we have not the players we may or may not have.
I am happy for the issue to be closed, over and out or as Tony Abbott would say "dead...
I am not saying that Souths would stand in the way of Albert playing again for Sunnybank, if he really, really wants too. All I said was that a clearance was required and as far as I know, as of Saturday, that clearance had not yet been signed. It may well have been finalised in the interim. I...
Hi TT I agree that Albert didn't need a clearance to move from Sunnybank to Souths. You don't need a clearance if you change clubs between seasons in the QPR, however if a player "signs" with a QPR club for 2014 (Souths) and then decides to move to another club, either in the QPR (Sunnybank) or...
TT I can't tell you why Doubles was at Bottomley on Saturday. I am merely a Souths supporter and spectator, not a Club official or Board member so I am not privy to any inside information, if in fact there is any such information.
Filth, the discipline seems to be a problem only with one particular referee. The same referee was in charge against Easts and the penalty count that day was off the scale as well. Against Norths and GPS the count was reasonable and even. Must be something to do with interpretation.
With regard...
Good report by Filth. Once again Souths were penalised out of the first half with the penalty count being 7-1 at the end of the half and with Brothers having a kicker of Greene's skill they were lucky not to be further behind.
It didn't help Souths cause when they lost three of probably their...
Hi Pauly and tigerland12
Sam Denny, a great young prop has retired. As a new father and an electrician, Sam has called it quits (for at least this year). What the future holds for Sam in the way of playing rugby, is up to him and his family.
I am sure that everyone at Souths would love to...
Just thought that I would mention that young Qld U20's prop, Ben Tarr from Souths has been selected to represent the USA in the U20's RWC. Congratulations to Ben!!
I think it is unwise to try to compare different eras in any sport but certainly there would have been some great match-ups across the 80's and the 90's.
I would like to throw in from Souths: Tom Lawton, Rob Lawton, Troy Coker, Barry Lea, Damian Smith, Shane Draham and a guy called Toutai Kefu...
What a great come from behind win for the Index Souths Magpies yesterday at Chipsy Wood. Trailing 25-8 at halftime the Magpies had confidence turning with the reliable Yeronga Park breeze behind them for the second half.
Captain and No. 8 James Turner put in an absolute non-stop effort...
