No news about the Barker/Knox trial today. Even if it was probably just a energetic training run

Without knowing much, which in many parts of life makes one an expert, I think it could be a close and tight competition. I think Cranbrook could be a big improver based on a youngish side last year and their 2nds. Waverley will be Waverley - dangerous and competitive- and have some of the...

Well done Morgan. You have managed to find someone less coherent to interview than Sonny Bill

Apparently there were only 15 rugby matches between Knox and Barker last weekend. Presumably injuries must have reduced the total teams. I believe Knox won 13 of the 15 games.

It can be hard to say how sides develop. For a while Knox A sides that were unbeaten in the lower ages became a little ordinary in the Firsts - though coaching and selections in the opens might have played a part there. Also some schools tend to develop players quite imaginatively in years 10...

Some thoughts on this week's games. The last round for the season, and for some of the players their last game of Rugby. Good luck to them as they head off into the wild wide world! Initial feelings are that my head says the home teams while the heart wished for something else. The weather...

The penultimate round of CAS Rugby. It seems that the CAS Rugby will pass sooner than this year's winter. Some interesting games this week. Though, with last week's unpredicted draw, who knows what may surprise us this week. At least the weather looks good and the grounds should not be...

For what it's worth: Barker will easily account for St Aloysius. Hopefully not so one sided that further questions are raised about the viability of the CAS Rugby competition. Waverley should beat Cranbrook, but may take some time in doing it. With the weather Cranbrook may favour their...

Blues vs Brumbies SF, June 11 2022

I think a big reason for the loss was not replacing Hooper immediately when he was injured. I am not sure why; whether they didn't think it was that bad? But from the drop-out he knocked on, leading to a period of Auckland dominance and a big change of momentum.

I think the final score at Wahroonga was 49 - 24. There was a late try to the winger 14. He and 12 both scored a double. I might write up my thoughts later, though Cranbrook did turn up to play and all credit to them there.

It would be interesting to work out what happened to Knox during half time. They came out listless and aimless. Perhaps it was a lack of fitness or the substitutions. One thing is that Knox are past masters of bewildering substitutions. As if all the subs need a go in the game. The team would...

And by the looks of Cluch there are already a few spectators there not filling that criteria. So, by signing in using the QR it should be OK. And it already looks cold there.

The The perceived roughness of the sport is one of my pet peeves. The injury count in the other sports are just as high. And also off topic a bit, am I the only one who thinks that in removing the old fashioned rucking they have made the game more dangerous. Players stayed on their feet...
