Wouldn't be surprised in someone at Penrith played all grades this year. I seem to remember a couple of guys playing 4ths, 3rds and some time in 2nds as well when they played the Wicks.

Good to see -- will help offset the 8 current or previous professional players in the Uni team although, like KB (Kurtley Beale) last week, I suspect he'll need to be introduced to most of his team mates :rolleyes: Hope he's allowed to play the full game if the Turtle wants to use him.

I'll be a very interested observer of him in 3rds on Saturday. If match fit, and in anything like the form before he was injured, he'll be very hard to handle in 3rds.

I was told that Gower wouldn't be back until the GF next week.

Jack Hayson hasn't played since round 15 -- injured I assume. Which is possibly why he's returning in 3rds this week.

I wasn't at the ground but the 7TWO commentator said he played "a few minutes" in 2nd grade.

The difference is that the Ellas etc played many games during the season -- they didn't just appear on the scene for the finals. Of course there was no S15 in those days so they were available for their clubs much of the time.

I thought that's what the NRC was for? I think it would be reasonable to limit each club to a maximum of 2 professional players on the field at any one time in the finals unless they've actually played a set number of games for the club during the year. Maybe the SS season should be...
