Yep, that was my point HJ -- the Super and SS finals series are on at the same time so whether the Tahs players become available to their clubs will depend on how far the Tahs go in the comp this year. If they don't make the Super playoffs then they could be available from the start of the SS...

Ryan started for Uni and Tilse and Dennis came off the bench in the 2nd half. Sandell played 2nd grade I think -- named in the team anyway.

And someone needs to capture the thoughts and memories of some of the legends of club rugby such as Jeffrey Leonard Sayle. Maybe the likes of Bill Pulver needs to spend some time with these guys (I'm sure every club has one, Dave) so that we don't forget what these guys learned many years ago.

The Beasties appear to have friend in high places. They lost 2 games (in 1sts) on the weekend but, according to the NSWRU website, they jumped from 41 points to 48 points. No doubt the error will be fixed in the fullness of time.

The Beasties decision to kick for touch when they'd received 2 scrum penalties in a row close to the Wicks line and Wicks had a forward in the bin was hard to understand. The TV commentators suggested the ref had awarded a penalty to Easts as he stuck his arm out but he didn't say "penalty...

Looks to me like they've just decided to avoid having to play 2 games in a few days as both teams are out of the running for the playoffs. Not good if that's the case, but I guess it's understandable if they're struggling for players anyway.

So at least the points total of 51 is correct ie 10 games won with 4 try BPs + 1 game lost (round 3) with a 4 try BP, and 1 game (round 2) lost with no BP. (Note: In my previous post I suggested the points total was wrong but it is correct)

Wicks website shows round 2 score as 23.

Interesting......the NSWRU website shows 4 tries and 1 penalty = 23 points but the score total is 17. I went through all the games and the total "points for" adds to 434 which means only 17 points has been counted for round 2, but the Wicks 51 competition points (11 BPs) must include 1 BP for...
