Shute Shield 2012 ins and outs

How many were from Norths though? Interesting to see that the Tahs must have released Bennetts, Mitchell and Woodhouse. For the two centres in particular, given Tom Carter's inability to catch and pass and Rob Horne's on going injury issues, I would have thought having two good young centres in...

Shute Shield 2012 ins and outs

Melbourne Rebels had a training group in Sydney over the weekend. From all reports just about every bloke there will be playing for Norths this year. Of particular note, was a centre by the name of Chris Tuitara (surname spelling might be inaccurate there, apologies if so). Chris was a VERY good...

    Waratahs 2012

I'm led to believe Sipa had a shoulder reconstruction towards the end of the season. The Rebels released him, and he is apparently training for a contract at Tahs

heard some blokes chatting down at Manly Fisho's this afternoon that Tim Lane will be called up to coach Wallabies backs in 2012.......anyone else know of any such plans?

Shute Shield 2012 ins and outs

With Harvey at Narbonne, I would imagine he wont be back in Sydney til end of May at the earliest. Assuming they let him come back. Here's their latest result http://www.itsrugby.co.uk/game-75188.html

Shute Shield 2012 ins and outs

I don't completely agree here. Whilst the measurement of results is certainly a factor in success, there are obviously other outcomes that indicate success. If Penrith made the top 4 in 2012, by your comment above it would be determined as an unsuccessful year. Yet the rugby community would most...

I dont think a $100K profit is poorly managed...............good on them. I hope they keep it up.

    Shute Shield 2012

Back to player movements.............Jeremy Su'a has joined Eastwood. It's a shrewd recruitment by John Manenti, as the Woods will not see anything of Nic White.

    Shute Shield 2012

I agree. There should be serious consideration given by the rule makers on the transfer fee issue. As Coxy mentioned above, in soccer, the whole chain is fed. Same in AFL. If a player gets all the way to AFL, his junior club and his first senior club get paid a fee for making the AFL. And if the...

    Sydney Colts 2011

Thanks 2Blues Fan........any of these players above likely to be playing Colts again next year? Any of them a chance to go up and play Shute Shield in 2012?

    Shute Shield 2012

interesting comment. I have it on good authority that the Rebels did not advise Windon either way. They have also recommended some players from outside the Shute Shield actually join Parramatta so I think that shows that the Rebels in particular aren't that fussed which club the players play...

    Shute Shield 2012

Bakewell has had reasonable success and will be a good fit at Easts as he has been there before. Would love to know why the Rebels canned him like a sardine though..............

    JON to step down

In my opinon, JON's second stint has been an abject failure. As I see it, there should have been two focus areas of attention during this stint....and neither of them has anything to do with the Wallabies. 1- growth of the game (i.e. increase in participation numbers, consolidation of existing...

    JON to step down

God I hope not.....but maybe some of the current selection issues were not of Robbie's creation............
