    Proposed Nations Championship

It seems like a formalisation of the current set up into a Championship every two years. It's not that much of a stretch from the current situation. Being separate from the 6N and RC it will be interesting to see if the P/R function that's been proposed presents any issues.

    Waratahs 2022

Holz is definitely worth persisting with. Got to see him live I Melbourne and his work rate outside of his core duties was impressive. With the right management he could be pushing HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) in a season or two.

    Waratahs 2022

I've seen a bit of him. He hasn't.

    Shute Shield 2022

I managed to catch the first half of that game. Looked like the Wicks had begun to take the initiative in that one. So it's interesting to see that Hunter who look a much better outfit this season came back to win it. I find the Hunter experience interesting and it makes me wonder if the likes...

Tribe v Brumbies at FMG 7/05/22

They wouldn't. If it were to happen (not that I think it would or should for the record) I'd imagine it would be more an absorption of the territory. Essentially no more Rebels. I was just mucking about in response to DCTarget's comment.

    The Southern Brumbies.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Yeah, and if we are hosting games then they could play the opener against whoever they are facing at the same venue.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Not just Europe. South America as well. The likes of Uruguay and Chile would relish the opportunity to play Aus A on a reasonably regular basis.

    Waratahs 2023

Vainu. He seems to be a bit of a project player for Coleman. Coached him at Gordon. Signed him when he moved to LA and then brought him back with him when he got the Tahs gig.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes, 2pm, 01/05

    I'm not a Reds supporter.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes, 2pm, 01/05

Last weekend early in the Reds/Canes game Lomax clearly lost his feet at scrum time. Berry immediately assumed it was the Reds and threw his arm out. Had to be overruled. Two minutes later a clear knock on right in front of him. Called it in favour of the Canes despite it being clear they...

    Brumbies v Hurricanes, 2pm, 01/05

Really? Because I'm watching the game now and so far I've seen a bit of a trend where the NZ sides are getting the benefit of the doubt in decisions from the on field officials such as the clear knock on in front (literally right in front) of the AR requiring the TMO to have to come on and...

Rebels vs Pasifika, Saturday 30th, 7.45pm

So weird to see Kepu in another jersey other than a Tahs one.

Rebels vs Pasifika, Saturday 30th, 7.45pm

That was high and deserved to be sent. But contact to the head with the shoulder? Bicep yes. But not shoulder. Anyway. He'll get 6 weeks.

Second try saver in two weeks. His bootlaces tackle last week was class as well.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The 700 player figure is also significantly overinflated. Halve it and you'd be a lot closer to the actual figure. Even if this boondoggle of an idea happens without real investment in developing the game on the ground it will amount to zero. But that would require a long term investment which...

    Women's Rugby

Good to see them confirmed. My understanding is that this will become an annual competition as part of the broader WXV set up. The top 3 teams will qualify for the WXV Div 1 alongside the top 3 teams from the W6N's.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

What I'd like to see occur next year is something similar to what was done back in the Vegas leg of the World Series in the States. They'd run grassroots 7s competitions alongside them with teams from all over the country and they'd form a large segment of the crowd. They could look to do...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Interested to see the breakdown of the days. Friday was definitely the smallest of the three days crowd wise. Both Saturday and Sunday looked pretty similar from the stands. Come to think of it there really wasn't any advertising of the event in Melbourne. Definitely needs more if they go with...
