Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Hmmm. Seems a shame the Force can't play FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) at 6 just to see how he'd go.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 - Waratahs vs Reds @ SCG, Saturday 8 August 2020

Yeah but how bad ass will it be when they are our starting 1 and 3 for the Wallabies?

    Wallabies 2020

Rodda would be great for the Force. I don't like his manner of leaving in the slightest, but there are two sides to every story and I think wherever the truth lies, he has paid for his decisions.

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Isn't it funny- we get bone dry on tightheads- now we have stacks. Then no good Number 8s- now 2 pretty specky ones. The 10s coming through will fill that gap. What else needs filling? Hooker? Lock?

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Said it before, say it again- love watching the Reds play.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 5 Force v Rebels

I remember Meakes being a really handy player back at the Force and combining well with Lance in particular. He's a good all rounder. I just wonder if he wouldn't be better suited to a passing 10 rather than a running/tackling 10 like To'omua.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 5 Force v Rebels

He evened the ledger with the Thrush card. You can't say he didn't warn the Rebels, pedantic or not. Not the greatest game to watch, but at least it was a contest. Rebels locks look great value at a time we really need some to step up. FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) impressed as well, but I can't help but think he'd be...

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 5 Force v Rebels

One look at that Rebels bench and I'm seeing a last quarter capitulation like last week. Up to that point it really depends which team fires.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's a fair point. Personally, I don't think the good times would have continued regardless of expansion, but we'll never know. I guess what I am saying is that tradition is all well and good, but it is a luxury we can't necessarily afford. We can match NZ 5 and 5 in a TT comp and we'd...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I wonder what would happen if you took the Super Rugby Au and merged with GRR. You could say to Aussie players that they are Wallaby eligible if they play for any team. It might improve the quality of say Hong Kong having a few marquee players while offsetting the inevitable player drain that...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 5 Force v Rebels

Teams always play a fair bit better the week after being embarrassed. I am hoping this applies to the Force, but we'll definitely need Greg Holmes fit if we are going to last the 80. $50 someone picks up a red card.

    Western Force 2020

Is anyone saying that about Fines or Deegan?

2020 Super Rugby Round 4, Western Force v Brumbies, Sat 25 July, Leichhardt Oval 7:15pm AEST

I liked that the game wasn't a snorefest despite the scoreline being pretty one sided. The last few weekx have shown both teams ard fairly well-coached, but the Brumbies are just that bit more cohesive and have better cattle. Passion will only get you so far. I worry that without bringing back...

You had me at no Phil Kearns.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 4 Waratahs vs Melbourne Rebels

I remember when Rodda burst onto the scene in that Dunedin Bledisloe test. He was 21. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) the same year a few weeks after his 21st birthday. Wonder if Hosea would be the same.

2020 Super Rugby Round 4, Western Force v Brumbies, Sat 25 July, Leichhardt Oval 7:15pm AEST

I hope the Brumbies scrum and line-out functions like last weekend, but I fear not and fear we are in for a belting.

    Wallabies 2020

I don't see us having a 6/2 bench any time soon. Hooper will always play the full 80 as will LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) if fit. Most of the candidates for 6 and 8 can cover the full 80. I'd be more interested in a 5/3 with some impact players (Daugunu for example) rather than Jacks of all trades.

    Australian Rugby / RA

You never know. At that kind of money he could easily afford to come back for a tilt at the 2023 RWC. You'd think he'd pick up a pretty solid contract afterwards as well. Money is all well and good, but you'd regret missing a World Cup more when money is never likely to be short.

Super Rugby AU R3 - Reds v Force

Equalizer- I suspect the preference is for inclusion with the rest of Australia, but with constitutional reforms and a seat at the table. GRR is the back-up plan if those criteria aren't met.
