Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

Forgot Tevin Ferris who is now injured and Tom Sheminant. We do a pretty good job of producing backrowers, front rowers and inside backs. Not as good in other areas.

Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

We lost a bunch of our local products with the 2017 death of the Force. There are some- Longbottom, Koteka, Callan, Godwin, Jooste and Lacey are the regulars. There are a handful with other teams- Jack Hardy at the Reds, Michael McDonald and Carlo Tizzano at the Tahs, Hardwick and DHP at the...

Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

Well that was grim for the Force. Great for the Reds and great for the Wallabies, though. The hard thing about losses at the moment as a Force supporter is that there isn't a whole lot of hope that comes with a performance like that. Outclassed across the field and not a whole lot of prospect...

Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

I don't know, ths Force lost 7 last weekend. Be interesting to see if Ready starting helps and how Tessman goes.

Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

Sure. You'll get him back in the mail. Any day now. I figure being born in Darwin makes him practically West Australian anyway.

Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

Jack Hardy would do well to come back to WA. Don't fancy our chances in this one. The only glimmer of hope is that the Reds will be wrecked and have had a shorter turn around. Surely it's time to give Tupou a rest, isn't it? It would definitely be in the Force's the national interest.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

The complexities of the law. Both the HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) and Gordon calls were borderline. Either way they are accuracies we need to work on. Neither player needed to do what they did when they did it another second in each case and the outcome would've been the same. I'd call HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) a moot point. Hanigan is...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

Great, isn't it, to suddenly be a bit spoilt for choice for 8s. Shame it can't be the same for 2, lock or 13.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

Stand by my point. Wilson isn't clearly ahead. Naisarani had an off night amongst many in his team. Wilson was okay where the whole team stood up. Would it be fair to judge Wilson solely on last week?

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

He wasn't great, but he was also clearly marked as the Rebels main go forward player. I'd still have him at 8 because Wilson isn't clearly ahead and test level might be rushing him. Dempsey is the front runner at 6 if he keeps his form. I'd stick Valetini on the bench.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

Me too, but hard to see Stowers or Stander dropped.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

The Force need someone who can win a line-out. What did we lose? More than 8? I reckon if our line-out was as good as the Tahs it would have been a much, much tighter game. Agree Dan, no real Wallaby contenders but Godwin, Ralston and Lee-Warner all looked pretty good. I like Strachan at the...

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

The counter argument is don't piss about with the pick and drives over the line. Or get better at it. Gotta blow the whistle at some point. Starting to become a bit of a Ramm fan. Good to see some wing talent coming to the fore.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

Good patient try by the Waratahs. Can't help but think that if Lance had held onto that dropped ball we might have score a few points instead. Thems the breaks. It's been a good game so far.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

Excited to see Koteka play again. He looked promising before he left the Force. Good running game, pretty reasonable over the ball.

    Wallabies 2020

I'd like to see them trial a union version of State of Origin with a 3rd team of ACT/WA/VIC/International almost strictly down place of birth lines. 3 game series. In the front row you'd see Slipper and Holmes back to QLD, AAA to NSW, Thor to the Barbarians. All profits going to player payments...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I can't speak for the financials, but in the current climate going alone looks like the best option. The ideal would be to have another team (or more) to increase the number of games most weekends (allowing for some byes).

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

They are definitely looking the business.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

I see a lot of Scott Fardy about him, and Fardy has to be one of my favourite Wallabies of the last 10-20 years. Remember reading about the post-tsunami clean up in Japan. Inspiring bloke.
