    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Mitch Third, Sam Clifton and Isaak Fines were all in grade 12 last year. But every school repeats players in some manner. Getting new players to repeat year 10 or 11 still counts as repeating in my opinion.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

I think TSS, NC, BBC and BGS will fight it out for podium finishes. Most likely TSS 1st, NC 2nd, BGS/BBC 3rd. Looking forward to the BGS V BBC match- the two smokies this year.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

    No they wouldn't have.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

I thought the BGS 13 was also very impressive. 8. Kemp and 3. McReight stood out in the forward pack.

Mafi didn't seem to be too much of a threat against BGS. His ball running wasn't as dominant as usual. the NC scrum also appeared to be dominated by a much smaller BGS pack. This team is beatable and I wouldn't write off BBC of causing an upset.

    BBC team list?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Great game of rugby played out at Northgate today. The match was entirely even and I think both of these teams have a good shot at the premiership. Nudgee are, as always, a very big side. However, BGS, for what they lack in size in the forwards, muscled up very well against Nudgee College. I...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

No Paulo Leilisuao, Tyrone Hussey and Jake Pennissi. Their 2nd XV must be good this year with 2/3 playing first XV last year and all 3 playing QLD u16s.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

I thought Jaidon Schafer was out for the season with a knee injury? You are also forgetting Izaia Perese (outside centre) who is a great player and played QLD U16s last year as a 15 year old, as well as Harley Fox who i suspect is playing number 8. Both of those players will outshine their...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Some schools do it better than others though. GT, TGS and BGS don't give out too many scholarships, and almost every new kid that arrives at the school ends up playing first XV when they are in Year 12. I don't like Nudgee's system. They bring in kids in year 8 and 9, but by year 12 they are no...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Agreed. Who at the beginning of last year legitimately thought BGS were going to win the premiership? The competition is so competitive now that anyone can win.

New kid Lachie Lanskey, is he injured? I doubt he would have been dropped from the firsts. Who will replace Laud in the second-row? Have the coaches decided to move Aiono back into the midfield?

I agree with Light's prediction. I don't think Nudgee will beat BGS by any more than 10 points. I think Grammar now have an instilled winning culture which will help them challenge some of the better teams. TSS will be all over GT. Have hear GT no longer have Daniel Sitanlie and Kyle Leofa is...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Went out to watch the BBC game yesterday as I was interested to see all of their talented new players. I think they will be pretty good this year but expect to see them mid table. Were missing a few key players by the looks of it. BGS were missing Aiono (not sure if they are still playing him...

    QLD U16s 2013

People in contention (don't know anything about IGS, TGS and TSS) GT: Kyle Leofa, Nikau Te-rupe, Alex Horan, Isiah Grace, Connor Moroney BBC: Tiaan Wilkins, Ben Gunter, Seabrook?, Darcy Swain BGS: Harry Egan, Tom Sly, Lachlan Lanskey, Eddie McCorley IGS: Shambeckler Vui (don't know too much...

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2013

Light, from QLD i would have to say my picks for going onto higher honours are Dalton Cox and Nili Fielea. Fielea is in his third year of 1st XV at TSS and is a powerful runner of the ball. He is always finding space by breaking tackles and fending of defenders. One area in which he does lack...

Tasi is the younger brother of the other Tasi who made Australia A in 2011. You are also probably thinking of Andrew Kellaway who made Aus schools last year and is now in his final year of school in NSW. Not sure if there is any relation between Nic Kellaway and Andrew Kellaway.
