    Reds 2018

The problem with that is that under the guise of management stability and orderly transitions the replacements tend to maintain the programs of the predecessors. They will also do everything to avoid criticism or impacting the reputations of the past board and executives. Just look at the banks...

    Reds 2018

Its would be a great pity if Thorn is discarded because of the failures of this season. A pity because I have no doubt he has a great potential that would be unrealised. The biggest problem is the total failure of management time and time again to identify that it doesn't just take potential to...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

Because people have become disengaged as players became deskilled and the game in Australia became based on statistics and structures, on the back of the ultimate structure games of Rod Macqueen and Eddie Jones. They perpetrated the myth of running rugby and whilst Macqueen was in particular...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

This series and the June tests in general have raised some very serious Officiating issues that must be addressed. 1) The TMO system is taking far too long and they are far too involved. The Referee in the middle must be returned to the sole judge of fact and law and they should be making all...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

So the laws and the directives place all onus on the tackler to avoid contact with the head but Cane and Ofa don't get cited. This is exactly the same. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

So my quickish review of the game which will also count towards the tour as a whole. 1) The Australian Coaching gets one tick for recognising, finally, they the defensive system they had for two long years was a steaming pile of shit. We could all see it at the Tahs but with their superior...

    Australian Rugby / RA

And that is also my points as previously made, the people running the game in Australia are not "successful" business people, Clyne and JON for example were bankers, and as the Royal Commission has shown they are successful through unethical and often criminal behaviour. Small wonder when they...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I would suggest a series loss for the Wallabies will be critical for Chieka, even though there is no successor on the horizon (no matter what they say about Larkham). He is rapidly losing the faith of the fan base and I would suspect some players as well. The manner of the loses to the Poms...

    June Internationals not involving Australia

[quote] It will be up to the referee to differentiate the severity of the tackle and what sanction is appropriate – a good process would be to combine the level of recklessness with the outcome and effect on the tackled player. read the bloody guidelines if you want to understand. Its not...

You really are struggling aren't you. Maybe you are a Lawyer they tend to struggle with things like ethics. How about you actually read the guidelines not skip to the bits you want to read.

    June Internationals not involving Australia

Franks got away with attacking the face of Douglas. I care not that Douglas sucked it up and carried on. It was clear and deliberate as have been his other acts. So it is clear he has a penchant for foul play. ie scum. Just like Richard Loe who even his team mates regarded as dirty, I am sure...

    June Internationals not involving Australia

Actually under the guidelines it can be argued that it could indeed be a Red card offence as the first contact is with the jaw, with a high degree of force in a reckless or careless manner as outlined in the guidelines.

    June Internationals not involving Australia

I am seriously suggesting exactly what the guidelines say. That is what they are directed to make their determinations on. No more no less.

    June Internationals not involving Australia

"The onus is on the tackler to ensure the tackle is safe with regards to above the shoulder and contact in the head and neck area." Given the danger of the situation and the fact that the falling into the tackle of Ofa is quite likely caused by the foul play of Kane which by the guideline is...

    June Internationals not involving Australia

Mitigation doesn't change the outcome, only the penalty in terms of reduction. It is still a red card, the mitigation is given at sentencing and it is still a significant ban. That is what I meant by Moody's matter being commuted. His matter was like Owen Franks not getting cited for eye...

    June Internationals not involving Australia

https://wwos.nine.com.au/videos/rugby/grosso-cops-double-high-tackle/cji8754nj006q0iqn94n7z6sf For mine Sam Kane first makes contact with the jaw of the French player. All year this has been an entry level yellow card. Ofa then makes contact to the head of the French player with a high level...

Australia v Ireland, Sat 9th June @ 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Well I have arrived back at home after the yearly tour of duty with the boys to Brisvegas. What a weekend it was, the best of what is rugby for me, a few beers, wines, whiskeys...…, great food and good mates. I went there fully expected a moderate loss, after the disappointment that was the...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I'm not really, Coleman is athletic and mobile, Arnold strikes me as ponderous. None of Arnold, Coleman or Rodda are a real threat on the opposition throw, though if Hanigan (who I am not a fan of) is selected that aspect is balanced somewhat.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

As I have said before, I had the very same negative view of Simmons, but was extremely happy that he was poached for the Tahs as I identified the fundamental weakness at second row for the 2015 season and it was not fixed until this year with his arrival. The point about throwers is a very...
