    The Wallabies Thread

Larkham has already said that not playing Super Rugby rules out Quade, do you think they view Twiggy ball differently or just playing politics?

    Reds 2018

This part in particular infuriates me. The board and executive have a fundamental duty and responsibility to be truthful and forthright in the information they present. I do not believe a word they say, like bankers, politicians and Lawyers you know they are lying when their lips move, but that...

    Reds 2018

Fact is for every Graham, Stiles and Thorn it is not just wasted cash. It is wasted opportunity and TIME. Time is a very big factor in Australian Rugby now. I said when Thorn was first proposed as a Reds coach on the rumour mill that I hoped it was not the case. He needed time to develop as a...

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

I know, I should be so self deprecating, I'm not that bad at grammar or spelling. I'll be less harsh on myself.;)

    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

He can kick but his technique is appalling for a Test fullback. When he has masses of time and space he can gain huge metres, when under pressure he doesn't kick because his technique is so easily charged. He lacks the fundamental skills required for test 15 IMO.

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

Shiggins I am poor at grammar and spelling but FFS at least try or use Google or turn on the spell checker it puts a little red line under the error for you. STRAIGHT. COLLAPSED. Its hard to take one of your rants seriously at the best of times, add in the spelling and its just wasted space...

    Round 13!!!!!, Crusaders v Waratahs

A QC (Quade Cooper) - code for corrupt corridor walker of no real use to society, a bigger waste of oxygen than the perpetrators who they defend. The NZRU is well accustomed to conflicts of interest that everyone else but them perceive, Obrien visiting their dressing rooms and apologising after test matches...

    Round 13!!!!!, Crusaders v Waratahs

The absence of Grey and his abdominal structures from last year and the year before. With largely the same people we have a very greatly improved defensive outcome and the structures just do not see the shuffling and fluffing about that we saw under Grey. The Tahs skills are still shite in...

    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

I agree about Clarke's form, but my first choice wing would be Folau. Lets pick people who have the core skills for the position and Folau ticks the boxes as a wing (non kicking or occasional at best) and he doesn't at 15. That means for me the second winger has to be able to kick. When I think...

    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

I don't think he is anything special, having watched him in 7s, but he could be used better. Now asking Folau to pass, nobody would want to receive a pass from him - eg last week, and Beale "Le crab" needs Clarke in position on the wing when he runs there from inside centre. Taquele - well he...

    Waratahs 2018

The lowest ebb for me was the resignation of Link and the retention of Hooper and Beale in the manner it occurred. It demonstrated like the Banking Royal Commission how corrupt and ethically bankrupt the organisation is. Why should we be surprised that the players take their pay and bonuses like...

No certainly not. But they have indeed engaged a management consultant that will coach them in failure..... I kid you not, there is in this thread a reference to the article.

    Round 13!!!!!, Crusaders v Waratahs

Look up Meads and Loe. Loe in particular - if ever a name suited a bloke it was him. Michael Brial copped a cheap shot shoulder from Bunce straight to the kidneys in a very dangerous move on a prone player in the ruck. Absolute scum act, pity that Brial can't fight for shit and he didn't end...

    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

Speight has always been flaky in defence, and he has lost a fair bit of pace since his injuries. I don't see any real upside to his selection over any of the other wingers in the other Australian sides. Even Cam Clarke has been outperforming him in attack and defence and even Taqele better in...

    Rnd 13: Sunwolves v Reds

Too many dismissive of the Sunwolves. They are clearly the most improved side in the Australian conference, and I say that seriously. Some of the rugby they played against the Reds and against some of the other sides they have met this year has been top class. Good skills executed very well in a...

    Round 13!!!!!, Crusaders v Waratahs

The changing point was pretty obvious for me, at 32 minutes the Tahs turned over the ball in their 22 and miller runs and attempts to pass wide to miss the mark by a good 5+ metres. Fundamental skill failure, Folau tracks back and scrambles and they hold the ball. Up to that point every kick...
