Australia A - Back on the Cards

Vailanu is absolutely going to run riot off the bench as well, let alone the rest of the bench.

Gordon can stay in France after the WC

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Wilkin is working hard, Walton had a nice break and Fainga'a hasn't had a "not straight" yet. Otherwise very few positives.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I thought it was against Lambert? Which would not be surprising if you consider that he's probably 7th choice internationally with all available. (Bell, Slipper, Schoupp and Gibbon in Wallabies, Robertson & Hoopert out injured)

Australia A - Back on the Cards

The fact that we've missed out on 7 years of Charles Piutau in international rugby is a sad sad loss.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

The white commentator is grating and clearly didn't do his homework.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Gordon is making it hard for his runners, although how much of that is gordon being gordon and how much is forwards being beaten is up for debate.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Couple of sloppy involvements from LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) too: high tackle and not rolling penalties in quick selection.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Yes, badly worded: Valetini and Hooper would have been the only forwards coming off 80 minutes: so when the initial teamsheet was discussed, they'd have been the planned subs. Now with Hooper out, that "logical" sub for Kemeny goes with it and hence it may be a 10 minute cameo for him rather...

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Valetini is the only forward who played 80 minutes last week in the team, and M Hooper is the only other one who would have been if fitness permitted. Makes me think that Leota->Valetini and Kemeny -> Hooper were the planned subs, McReight coming in may mean that Josh has to wait to minute 70...

    Wallabies 2023

I mean, to my understanding, the revenue from out of window games is the big money turner. I would wager playing 5 rather than 4 probably covered a lot of the additionally occurred expenses from running two Aus A tours last season.

    Wallabies 2023

Could be. Ultimately depends on the mix across the whole forward unit. I think if you're presuming that Frost, Arnold and Skelton are likely the 3 playing in the RWC, carrying an out and out 4th Lock in one of those two "probably" provides more value to the squad for minute management and niggly...

    Wallabies 2023

The interesting one not commented on thus far here or in the Match Day thread is that Phillip and Neville are both playing this weekend, and it may be the thing which starts to decide who is the backup in the 33 and who is the train on.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

For 2024: 5 Rebels playing for the Wallabies (6 if Bell fails a fitness test and Gibbo comes in) 4 Playing for Australia A 5 Playing for U20s Plus Kellaway still being managed through his return and Canham training with Australia A. Not a bad little group to build with.

Looking good Defending at 10 is a very different Kettle of Fish from Looking good defending at 12.

In before Bell fails his last fitness test and Gibbo comes in for 7 Rebels off the bench

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

I'd much prefer Bryce to sit in the 22 jersey over Jooste/Mason as 10 cover.

    Australian Rugby / RA

For arguments sake, this is what the post Super Rugby calendar looked like in 2022. While it probably wouldn't work with the Japan Tour that occured that year, a 12 week "Super Rugby Australia" competition actually fits in quite nicely. Saturday Wallabies Australia A “Super Rugby...
