    Brumbies 2020

Not sure I would call Andrew Walker a leaguie first. I played Rugby against him when he was 16 when he played for Shoalhaven club before he went to Randwick in '91. Best junior rugby player I ever saw.

True but the Stade Francais website reports him on the 10th of October as being available from October 28. I hope you are right though.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

Sorta. He ran some great lines into holes. I'd hate to be a winger outside of him though. He isnt great at draw and pass. This is one of Bob Dwyers criticisms of TK and although Bob can play the cranky old man a bit too often, in the case of TK's passing skills I think he is right.

Yes I counted 7 lineouts lost (5 first half, 2 in the second) so it was the glaring deficiency in what was a fantastic all round game. I rewatched the game last night and I would say that thge lineout problems weren't all down to the throwing - the Australian jumping pods were often stationary...

Only until he is 18. Not completely lost yet.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I think the policing of not supporting ones own weight has been generally terrible this cup and yes, the Georgia vs Wales game was particularly bad. The Fiji/Aus game was awful too. It would be nice if they policed the offside law more diligently as well. Some of the rush defence by England...

    Pic needs a caption

Its an explosiveness drill. In short, the addition of bands means the lift gets harder as it progresses towards completion due to the tension increasing from the band stretching. So it forces the lifter to accelerate earlier in the lift as it makes it easier to finish the lift. In other words...

If you look at (and believe) the Parramatta NRL forum threads the universal opinion is that Moeroa isn't a big loss. He wasn't a consistent 1st grade starting player so maybe he your mates are on the money. Hopefully we didn't pay overs for him.

Agree on Foketi. Id like to see Swinton step up next year and cut his penalty rate down. Tizzano is a great acquisition and could be good in 12-24 months. I think we really need a big lock addition plus an aggressive tight head and we are pretty much there.

Really good post. A lot of people forget that players like Nadolo, Volavola and Skelton had plenty of opportunity at the Tahs and didn't take their opportunities. And Skelton was lazy and unfit, by his own admission - you couldnt even throw to him in the lineout as he was too heavy and not agile...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Not correct. Main centre pairing for year was Hunt/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). When Hunt got injured it became Foketi/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) for three games.

I was standing at the front of the grandstand, next to the boys. The deputy head was amongst the boys the whole time. I personally didn’t see anything but you’re right, the school doesn’t stand for it.

Well said. There are some that seem to forget that these are schools, not rugby academies we are talking about. Whilst it is a romantic notion to be aspirational to make a career out of rugby, only a very small percentage ever make it and very very few make a living to the extent that you dont...

Yeah I have really enjoyed watching Joeys this year particularly their backline. Right down to their Third's (and probably beyond) they have a heap of talent and really play rugby the right way. Im hoping Darren Junee brings some of their secret sauce over to Shore this year.

So it looks like there was a Gen Blue intake in early July. Scots Facebook posted congratulations to three players on July 12. I cant see any other announcements - is it a staggered intake?

Has anyone seen news of any NSW Gen Blue academy games coming up? Or QLD? WA have just played three games with no more scheduled.

Yes, they do. Would potentially have been a very fine player if not for 3 ACL injuries in 3 years. Has been desperately unlucky.
