    Colts 2013

Gee thanks Hugie, we hadn't thought of that...seriously though we are in negotiations 2 tertiary institutions to become part of Two Blues KickStart - a suite of employment and educational opportunities. There are no free rides or inducements however our partners provide vocational pathways that...

    Colts 2013

By 'we have not' I mean the current Parra administration. Prior to 2010 it was common place to throw money at almost anything which is part of why the club lost it's way. It's a very different attitude now which we intend to keep and grow.

    Shute Shield 2013

I'm not qualified to say specifically as I haven't seen every player going around in Colts or last years schools in Sydney or Brisbane let alone WA etc. But that's my point, neither have the selectors. They have gone with a squad of players based on 2012 reputation and recommendation and there...

    Shute Shield 2013

Are you justifying the current system?

    Shute Shield 2013

Galah, your last comment is perceptive. Albeit they lost manfully to the baby blacks, the best the Aussie 20s can finish is 6th. There's no guarantee we'll do better than our 8th last time. The selection of the under 20s is a farce and I mean no disrespect to the players. The process simply...

    Colts 2013

Anything that is given as an incentive that requires no more than playing for a club in return, is in-kind. That includes scholarships, bursaries, 'petrol money'', rent or free accommodation. It's rampant and in my opinion is indicative of much that is so wrong with rugby development.

    Colts 2013

Allow me to vote for the Parramatta program. We have not and will not ever, offer cash or in-kind incentives for Colts and find the concept abhorrent. We have helped players find work and shared accommodation, but at their own cost. We have over 70 registered players, field 3 competitive sides...

    Shute Shield 2013

    Wasn't he a Norths player?

    Shute Shield 2013

Taaf is a champion. After the game, he grabbed the goal post pads with one arm and hauled them in, then picked up rubbish with one arm and later MC'd the after match at Merrylands RSL, buying beers for debutants on both sides and 'sponsoring' the boat race. A true club man.

    The Mighty Two Blues

IMO,the boys are really missing Coxy's leadership. The penalty counts against us are a sign of ill discipline and frustration. Andrew Cox brings calmness and steel to the team and mutual respect with the refs. Hope he is back soon but was spotted in a moonboot yesterday...

    Shute Shield 2013

Handy replacements though which is why I think we can win. Luke Troy at tighthead, Charlie Leano returns from injury at 5, Kaifa at 6. Rawaqa back in the backline along with the Yakopos, Tavola and Fakafanua. Depth is OK.

Ribs, damaged round 1, busted round 2. Couple more weeks

    Shute Shield 2013

Fair call, Parra have lost tight head Chris Seutini to France for the season and 5/6 Evan Olmstead with a leg injury for the season. Add that to Cox, Woods and Leota and Parra are stretched this week,

Any chance we could stay on topic Gaggerlanders? Who is winning this week?

    Shute Shield 2013

Thanks for bringing us back on topic galah. If the rest of you want to opine on SRU, start another thread. PS disagree, I think Parra will get the chocolates.

    Colts 2013

There's been no discussion on this board since Sunday, so lets get one rolling on this weekend's round of Colts 1st. My tips: Wests to win their second game against Warringah Manly too strong for Penrith Norths to bounce back over Randwick Uni to beat Souths Parra to go 4 in a row over Easts...

    Shute Shield 2013

This board has gone quiet, too quiet. So, to spark up some healthy Shute Shield discussion, here's my tips for this weekend: West Harbour to narrowly beat the Rats Manly too strong for Penrith Norths to beat Randwick Souths to roll Uni Parra to win away v Easts Eastwood to wake up with 20 to go...

    Shute Shield 2013

Actually, Parramatta was able to rebuild with a handful of the old faithfuls and an injection of new people with vision. Most of the old brigade abandoned the club when it got into trouble. They're drifting back now, you can tell, they're the ones trying to get in to games for free or...

    Shute Shield 2013

This is an observational opinion as I'm not a coach but he appears to be going very well considering he's only played half a dozen game of rugby in his life. He was out against Eastwood with a groin strain and Parra missed his physicality in defence and at the breakdown and his go forward in...

    Shute Shield 2013

They were very good in the last 15 minutes. Parra led 18. 16 with 15 to go but went nigh nighs and the Woods took full toll. We won colts though
