If the ARC was to ever develop, or come again

As much as I like the idea of an ARC, I think the way to achieve a national competition is to include the existing clubs and competitions. The two ideas that spring to mind are: a round robin comp (to be hosted in a single region) between the top teams from each region - probably at the end of...

    Waratahs 2011

Ok, the injury is bad news, but he might be out until June, and might be right by February...I hope he only plays when he is right to go, and fingers crossed that is soon.

    S15s Australian Conference

Great thread. Each of the teams has issues to deal with: Positions they lack depth, or a not strong in. The relative strengths of the coaches. Injuries. The Tahs are very thin at 13, especially with Horne injured. Again. They have excellent depth, talent and experience. I'm not confident that...

Teams for the rest of the EOYT

Well the team for the Wales game has been named - an unchanged XV, actually an unchanged 22. In many ways a good thing for this game. Maybe the starting XV will be fine starting multiple games. I hope they are. What I really don't want to hear is that any potential losses are due to fatigue.

    Saffer S15 Squads

Thanks for the info guys. Those two injuries really screwed up last season for both of their teams. I thought both of them were great recruits, but unfortunately they never really got to show what they could do.

Should we rest players for the Eyetie Test?

Some of these issues also discussed here: http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/forum/threads/6380-Teams-for-the-rest-of-the-EOYT

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

Was the hinging the reason Alexander got pinged a couple of times? Of your list of 12 points, 8 and 9 are somewhat reflective of the forum (Cooper can't tackle and Giteau is past it), but the rest are (at best) only an extremely selective reading, and not really a fair reflection. Just for...

    Rob Horne Elbow Injury

Fuck me - is this guy Mr Glass or what?!

Wales vs Australia, EOYT 2010, Millenium Stadium

Ryan Jones and Lee Byrne are big players for Wales to have missing. I'm not sure who'll come in for Jones, but I've heard it suggested (can't remember where) that Hook might come in for Byrne, with Stephen Jones playing at 10. The changes I predict Deans will make to the Wallaby starting XV...

Could you give some examples please Bruce? - I don't get the Foxtel commentary

Teams for the rest of the EOYT

Maybe you missed the first post, or maybe the premise outlined therein eluded you. I'll try to make it clearer: The Wallabies will be playing 6 games in the next 4 weeks. Some people (myself included) think squad rotation might be a good idea, so that the team will be equipped to win all of...

    Gnostic's Wallaby Ratings Bled IV

Yeah, I thought about that - if a player is the nominated long range kicker, he is going to miss a few so I wouldn't hold them against him. I'm not really sure they should have been attempted anyway. Beale did a couple of other things in the match too - did you see the final 75mins?

    Quade Cooper and Summer Digressions

Greenwood would say that - he wants England to win

Teams for the rest of the EOYT

I'm just thinking about squad rotation - Genia is still top dog at 9 for me. I want him fit and well rested for England and France though. My idea: Wales, Italy: Burgess starts, Genia on the bench Leicester, Munster: Phipps starts, Burgess on the bench England, France: Genia starts, Burgess on...

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

Spewn - how do you think Turner played against the All Blacks in Sydney?

Teams for the rest of the EOYT

Come on guys, no selections with either/or - only one of them can run on. BTW - I don't really think Giteau will be dropped (I think there is a law about it somewhere)

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

I think he played his part for us Gagger - I'm not saying it is the whole picture, but it is a part of it.

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

I would have Turner on the wing ahead of JO'C (but I'd love to see him at 12) and Davies (once he has played for the dirt trackers or even come on from the bench and done well, we'll see). For the two tests a year that Ioane isn't injured, I'd bring him in for Turner.

Teams for the rest of the EOYT

That is one theory of what RD is thinking. (but who really knows?) My thinking is that we always need to have one of the two locks a tough nut - so either Van or Sharpie. I'd like to see Sharpie rested so he is good to go in the two big matches, but if Van is a 'dirt tracker only' that means...

    Quade Cooper and Summer Digressions

I'm sure Austin will be able to tell us exactly who, and how often. My guess is that there will be a familiar name at the top of the list.
