    QLD Colts 2015

GPS Prem Colts will be happy with their effort against The Bank on the weekend. They had several opportunities to get within striking distance but a missed penalty kick and other little errors came into their game. Was a good hitout from both sides. Also with GPS Prem Grade essentially out...

GPS v Bond at Yoku this weekend, could be a close game if GPS can put in the same effort they did vs The Bank. Its also GPS Ladies day, apparently 500 ladies have sold out a marquee at the club. The results may not be on the board for the Gallopers but at least they're still getting bums in...

Reds v Hurricanes Round 11 (ANZAC Round)

So whats your solution gel? Bring in an interim coach (of which there are no decent ones just floating around) for the final six games of the season? Let them try and coach their brand of footy (emphasis on 'try' as no team is going to suddenly change over just six weeks) and then when a new...

As long as Dammers has a 2016 succession plan in place then I think he will be fine. Would be very knee jerk reaction for the club to move him on after one year. Besides, I don't think there is currently anyone at the club who could succeed him and they won't go external again.

TigersTale - that is without doubt the worst post you have done in all your years on these forums. For you to come out and say that GPS supporters have been 'defaming' Dammers is bullshit. Maybe the 'culture' isn't so great at Easts that when a Premier Grade side isn't performing you guys let...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

My information is very second hand TT so feel free to watch the footage and figure it out yourself. I was told there was a conversion the referee didn't call and hence it didn't go into the score books. That could be wrong. Maybe it was a conversion the ref did call but for some reason didn't go...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

Ha! Ok TT, as you can see in my above post I literally have no idea which kick is being disputed. That was merely one which I noticed as a possibility. I'm not sure who thought to put an appeal in, what the evidence is or what the outcome will be. On Saturday afternoon though everyone at Yoku...

Mate not totally sure, I had a quick look at the videos, maybe 33rd minute of 1st half? A part from that i'm not quite sure what else to think. Christie certainly didn't say anything to the ref after the non-whistle on that kick though. Will have to wait and see!

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

Yeh not exactly sure about the details as there was clearly some confusion with the situation. The game is currently marked 'red' on rugbylink which means the result is being disputed and looked in to. From what I know, there is official video footage (not just some bloke with his iphone) of the...

I don't think its all doom and gloom at GPS. Although I do like your comment about the MCA guys and their sports dominance, its something which takes a bit to get out of guys at colts level! As I said, 80% of the club are in really good positions. With 3rds and 4ths arguably favorites to win...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

Looking at the overall ladders across the club. GPS are still in very good positions for Prem Colts, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade and Womens. With Prem Reserve and Colts 1 not far out in their comps. There definitely doesn't seem to be any issues with 80% of the teams. Its just unfortunate...

I'm trying not to say too much about the GPS-Dammers relationship as I'm not fully around the situation but I will say that Dammers not 'buying into the culture' probably isn't all his fault. GPS made a big call by appointing Dammers and really went the opposite end of the spectrum to Arnold...

    Reds 2015

I think Frisby is already on a substantial contract. If I remember correctly, in the few days a couple of years ago that were the whirlwind of Genia heading to the Force and then deciding to stay, the Reds quickly locked Lucas and Frisby into contracts. At the time Frisby was on the verge of...

    Reds 2015

Feel free to disagree but I firmly believe that in a situation like this, where you know a player (Genia) is definitely leaving and the team's season is shot to bits, a focus on the future needs to be made and that would be making sure guys like Frisby are playing consistent rugby in their...

    Reds 2015

I'll be very disappointed if its Frisby but I've been saying it before the season even started they needed to give him preference over Genia, especially considering there were rumors of Genia leaving since January. The Reds needed to get on Frisby's good side and give him plenty of minutes at 9...

Quite frankly, as a long time GPS supporter, watching yesterday unfold was embarrassing. On paper, GPS had a professional caliber backline but they failed to click and the forwards were clearly out muscled. Losing Fred Burke to injury in the first 15mins of the game put lots of pressure on the...

McVerry played for the Brumbies a year or two ago didn't he? But yes I think he does turn 35 this year. No idea about the Prem Colts sides. I know you can check them on RugbyLink after the game is played. Also lots of clubs (for example GPS this weekend) post all their grades in booklets on...

I know TT, Brothers seem to be decent across all the grades this year, at least on-par with GPS so it will be tough.

I actually thought GPS were further down the ladder in Doughety Shield. I guess a good weekend against Wests really built the points up. Another clean-sweep (or close enough) this weekend would be good!
