He started union because he was never that great (qld standard consistantly) at league, ie 'bright future in league'. Thanks

Perease has recently had knee operations/heavy rehab. Not sure if he'll be 100% for the trials. Richie A/Harley Fox from my background knowledge have always been more union than league players, not sure what you're trying to say there 'big futures in league'?

You must have eagle eyes GSP. Also number 10 from BBC is not in the reds 18 squad, Tiontian Raoren is from W.A but was never selected into the squad, only Jayden Ngmanu.

Nudgee forward pack failed to compete against the BBC forward pack, scrums, field fitness, general play were all one sided with NC only getting go forward through their backs. They did have the big 3 out with injury/rest; Reece Hewat, Alex Mafi and Gavin Luka. NC did have Agassi Stowers (3) as...

http://www.qrl.com.au/news/2014/05/28/close_win_for_young_maroons.html Syd Smith named man of the match and players player in the qld U/16s league state of origin last night. BBC would be stupid to leave him out of the team.

Both sides placing their 'A' team to run on and it went favourably to BBC 5 tries to zip, it looks bad for bgs mate.

That's a big loss for IGS, to have one of their senior forwards out for the start of the season. Unlucky for himself being his last season of schoolboy rugby. A loss for qld rugby too, are there any other locks that would take Rodda's place in qld schoolboys 1?

AIC schools will slowly turn into 'GPS importing galore', with more and more boys picked up by AIC schools to pursuit 'sporting' careers and have been funded by schools to do so. That's the only reason AIC 1 managed to tie with GPS 1 last year.

Lazarus never got a run in the firsts last year, and most likely wont this year. Has been out for over 2 months and wont recover in time to catch up on fitness and strength work.

Jayden Ngamua, Sam Edwards, Jerumi Nanai and a few others never played for league at all. Syd played for another team but in the lower age group with len and Joe Sted. And there's guy like Ben Simpson who dont play league. The only player that played North's 16s last year was Lachlan Foulds...

Syd Smith is wasted on the wing! Him and Lachlan Foulds would make the biggest and arguably the best centre pairing in the comp, jerumi back on the wing and you have dangerous back line.

Malaulau will play in the first XV, it's whether he is able to perform week after week under pressure, the coaches will be expecting a lot and if he doesn't live up to his great standards, there's more than enough depth to replace him.

Abit late there mate, he never came back. I believe he is playing down at wests now.

Syd smith on the wing? Josh betar at 10? And the forward pack here is debatable. I'd place Syd in 12 where he can be used, with Jayden at 10 who is a great player of the ball and place joe stead or ben simpson on the wing and leave len at fullback, with jerumi or chris veriavis at 13 and leave...

GT? I'd say TSS would have more number of rep players than GT.

NC have a lot of forward members returning and a few in the backs with some decent depth, they'll perform as usual. I'd still place BBC over TSS on paper they just have a better side.

GPS trials are fast approaching, any ideas on the teams lists? If i'm correct each team is allowed to bring a 23 man squad to trial. Which team/s are looking at a solid start to the season? Pools look abit like: NC, GT, ACGS IGS, TGS, BSHS BGS, TSS, BBC My bet: Churchie IGS BBC

Well IMO if you're stupid enough to leave a school that offers so much for you than you're probably not what the school is looking for culture wise, the better man would've faced the controversy up front not just walk away. Yes a big loss for the college but nothing their great depth can fix.
