Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

Cheika's comments today about wanting to create depth at lock are very welcome. I don't expect the coach to pander to the fans but, to be honest, whole swathes of fans are completely baffled by his seemingly 'spin the bottle' selection processes. There's a lot to be gained by a little...

    How to fix the wallabies

Yes. I always thought the criticism was overdone Bit slow perhaps, bit sketchy on D, sure. But by no means, not a quality, exciting player and fan favourite. Good on him. Would probably get picked at tighthead under Cheika.

    Brumbies 2016

That remains to be seen. He is very successful in his private life. However, he is a day-ummm stylish rooster, which is a good start, I guess.

    Brumbies 2016

I think it suits the Aussie psyche to assume Jones is sticking it to the man. However, the way he has gone about his business. Injunctions, press releases, formal complaints etc should surely convince some people that there's 2 sides to this story. Can anyone, ever, remember a case in which...

    Waratahs v Rebels RD 6

Kellaway can score tries like a machine. That's the sort of X-factor I'd be perfectly happy with.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

With Barritt inside him, Joseph will be lucky to see the ball! I think England have made it clear what the game plan will be!

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

OK. Well, this makes it interesting then! On the assumption (just an opinion) that Farrell will play, then it has to be someone creative outside him. I'm leaning towards Ford and then Barritt probably, as we discussed above. This means that Oz might need a bit of guile in the middle there...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I agree with this. They got the tactics wrong last time at Twickenham. They were stepping to the left to attack the hooker, which allowed Marler to chase them in. This time, hopefully, they'll take a step to the right to negate him. So let's do the time warp, againnn :)

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Yes, Barritt is a 12 but he's not really a distributor, more of a runner. If they pick him there (or Burgess for that matter), then it's a sign they're playing route 1 footy. That should please the Wallabies I reckon. Slade is a ball player. He played 13 last time but it was out of position...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I think we're waiting to see if Tom Wood is cited aren't we? Rather than injured. If he's out, and Vunipola's out, then Burgess will likely have to go to 6 then I don't know if they'll play Slade at 13. Bit of a waste putting him there. Better to leave Barritt at 13 and put Slade inside him...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Farrell will play. They won't risk going against their strengths. He can't go more than 2 phases without kicking it, it's a habit he's got into. This means lots of out-of-hand kicking to what they hope is behind the defence. I think this is key to a successful Wallaby game plan. Put our...

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

I love the Cooper selection. I think it's inspired. When Sir Richie is calling for crowd support you just KNOW that the inveterate Kiwi chippiness is getting the better of them. I expect a good portion of their gameplan to involve trying to rattle Quade. This means Cheika will have a plan to...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Personally, I think it's pretty ordinary. Flame Trees is probably a better choice. Passes the karaoke test, anyways.

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

I think he reffed the rucks in the NH style. That is, very loosely, punctuated by the odd, random penalty for something he had allowed 50 of previously. Truth is, both teams should be happy to learn from that experience because Poite and Co will be waiting 'oop north'.

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

OK. So just want to put out a big rap for Nic White there in the 78th minute He THOUGHT about kicking it but, he didn't. Legend!

Great stats FF (Folau Fainga'a) And coupled with the ones you produced for ruck involvements, I think it just reinforces what an absolute weapon Fardy is for us, playing tight.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

To SBW's point I thought Fardy nailed it in the lineouts. Totally nailed it. Probably means Higgers isn't as vital as everyone expects.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

@TWAS On the assumption that reply is for my question, then I agree Not one of us would have picked Gits first up... I was merely pointing out that he did OK, and that the perceived competition has pulled out the best of at least one other player (To'omua). So, there was a massive benefit...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

@ Seb The reserve Bok front row is the expected future front row, Particularly the TH, so we were up against a decent oppo by any measure. I was thrilled that when Slipper was tiring there (penalty?) that we were able to bring on Sio and he was rock-solid. Same for Holmes. How good did...
