    Wallabies 2024

I’m confident Wright or Wilkin could do the job.

    Wallabies 2024

To think for a while after Fardy we couldn’t find a 6 and had a 7 playing 8 because the cupboard was pretty bare there too. Potential 6s I think you could mount an arguement for include Swinton, Hanigan, Holloway, Wright, Uru, Leota, Kemeny, Williams, Cale (or Valetini with Cale at 8), Frost or...

    Celebrating the Rebels

There is so much about the Rebels I’ve enjoyed over the years but a personal highlight - Theo Fourie - a young guy from my club who I had a small hand in coaching in his early days, and who did all his schooling in Regional Qld - made his Super Rugby debut as a Rebel in 2023.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

That’s not true at all - the ATO can and do enter payment lane without having a full understanding of the finances of the business. They do it all the time.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Again though - is Eloff better than what Fa’agase has been for us this year?

    Queensland Reds 2025

Maybe it’s my red tinted glasses but I think Lynagh has been better than Gordon this year. Not much in it but given we already have Lynagh in the books I’d rather keep him. Given we also have HMP, I’m not sure we could justify a contract amount for Gordon sufficient for him to want to stay. I’d...

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Tahs definitely stepped up - and kudos to them. I don’t think anyone would’ve blamed them if they’d rolled over. But gee the Reds were pretty shit. Passive in defence and no discipline/care in attack. I reckon Les Kiss will be tearing strips off them.

    Okay grumpy uncle

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Yeah - good point. Cause so far his tries and try assists have been nothing but pure speed. Except of course all the ones which haven’t been. Like it’s fine to not get caught up in the hype - no problems with that at all. But the guy clearly actually reads play very well in both attack and has...

Very sorry to hear Rebels fans. Sad day for Australian Rugby.

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

I don’t think I can ever recall an attrition rate as high in one position as what the Tahs have had this year (well - 3 positions I guess but that makes it worse, not better). Eddie Jones at the Reds was bad, but this is off the scales. I’m assuming at this Coleman is trawling bars looking for...

    Wallabies 2024

I actually think the better option is a 6 who can play 80 and get Valetini to go hard for 50-55 then replace him with someone who can make an impact in the last 25.

    Brumbies 2024

Pretty good news for the Wallabies at the moment too given the shortage of fit, available props.

    Wallabies 2024

I feel it is more likely that they’ll pick an extra 6/8 or 4/6 and rely on Wright to cover 7. If not Brown may well be a shot.

    Wallabies 2024

Sorry KOB - I know I often have a crack at you. But I do find it funny that your default position is that ‘Bell is an automatic pick so that increases the Tahs numbers to 4’ rather than Bell is an automatic pick and the Tahs have been shit so really you would only expect another 1 or 2 to make it’.

    Wallabies 2024

Largely, yes - but finals can be pretty critical either way to some. Tom Wright’s standing dropped considerably in last years Super finals series and I’d guess that extended to his standing in EJ (Eddie Jones)’s eyes.

    Wallabies 2024

To be fair to him a lot of the Brumbies players have consistently been putting up their hands. A lot of his selections are probably fair enough. We seem to have a history of disagreeing over locks though. :)

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Reds will want to go into finals with momentum. Tahs will argue they want to finish the season with a bang and would love to get one over the Reds. I suspect for some of them though if the game doesn’t start well they may just starting looking to Mad Monday. I mean that with no disrespect- but...

    Wallabies 2024

Don’t agree at all - although the weekend wasn’t his best. But happy to wait and see what the selectors think.
