2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Its their weakest forward pack possibly every at this level. Ireland are missing, by my count, 4 of their top forwards as well. Hopefully we can hold on I don't think we've ever beaten BNZ at any level of rugby so would be a great confidence boost for these young blokes.

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Cracking game between Ireland and BNZ at the moment. Ireland leading 23-21, a match up of Irish forward strength v NZ flair.

    Waratahs 2014

If anyone needs a drinking option before the Wallabies game at the SFS Sydney Irish are running a pre game function featuring ex Wallaby Warwick Waugh and current Waratah/all round lunatic Jaques Potgeiter in the Entertainment Quarter. Food, booze and match ticket (only if required) included. PM...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Not a great weekend for the 6Ns teams. France defended well but scored 0 points, the longer PSA is in charge the worse they seem to get. England started well against the Kiwis but when the darkness ramped it up the English had no answer with a couple of late tries putting a gloss on the...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

    IRELAND Team & Replacements (v Argentina, Estadio José Fierro, Tucumán, Summer Tour, Saturday, June 14, kick-off 3.40pm local time/7.40pm Irish time): Player/Club/Province/Caps - 15. Rob Kearney (UCD/Leinster) 54 14. Andrew Trimble (Ballymena/Ulster) 56 13. Fergus McFadden (Old...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Seeding system was a joke, the previous one although not perfect was better. A combination of them would be best, but then again Globo Gym are top seeds so all is right with the world. Right now I'd call qualifiers to be Saracens, Munster, Toulon, Ulster, Leinster, Glasgow, Northampton, Racing...

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Discipline from the Fijians has been shocking, you blokes and the Kiwis would have been pulling your hair out if you'd been watching hoping for a favour from the Islanders.

All Blacks v Poms, Test 1 Auckland

Englands svcrum had been a weakness for a while but not sure BNZ have the ability there to capitalise. England's trademark under Lancaster is a strong almost suffocating defense. To beat them you have to kick well and have good finishers. BNZ have both but I don't think that they will beat the...

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Looking forward to see how Jordi Murphy goes at 8, hasn't been in favour recently with Leinster so will be a bit rusty. Shows our lack of depth at 8 that we have to call in someone far down the depth chart just to give Heaslip a rest

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Ireland side to face Argentina on Sunday morning (4:30 am kick off Sydney time, Fox Sports 2) Ireland: Felix Jones [Munster]; Andrew Trimble [Ulster], Darren Cave [Ulster], Luke Marshall [Ulster], Simon Zebo [Munster]; Jonathan Sexton [Racing Metro 92], Conor Murray [Munster]; Jack McGrath...

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Could have been one of Irelands all time greats if he had stayed fit, such a shame to lose him when he should be coming into his prime

    Waratahs 2014

Doh, can't believe I'd forgotten about this! That said work colleagues of mine were able to buy tickets on the Friday afternoon before that game so even then tickets were easy to come by

    Waratahs 2014

No doubt the bandwagon is starting to roll but when was the last time anyone legitimately sold out ANZ? 55k+ would be a reasonable target, the Tahs should also try and tie in 2015 memberships with finals tickets if possible.

    Sydney Subbies 2014

Good wins for 1st and 2nd grade for Irish on Saturday, 3rds had another tight loss. Big game for all 3 grades against Quins on Saturday, depth will be severely tested though as this was marked as a bye and lots of wifes/partners would have planned trips etc.

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

If ever you're guaranteed to score tries as a pacy outside back it would be against one of the worst teams in the league with little to play for, would make sense if the money went on that game. Can't say I'd be too happy with players betting on themselves, can't be great for team morale and...

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Some interesting rumours coming out about Stuart Hoggs dropping from the Glasgow team and his impending release from his contract. Apparently there was some major betting on him scoring two tries against Zebre, which he achieved in 20 minutes leading to numerous bombed opportunities. Will be...

Chiefs vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Round 16 2014

A losing bonus point would be acceptable in this given our dire record in BNZ. That said we've yet to beat a top side away from home under Cheika and it would be a massive boost going into finals to get that off the back.

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Saracens are as plastic and manufactured as they come, at least Toulon have a proud history or rugby passion their town. Saracens are soulless in every sense

    Sydney Subbies 2014

Irish beat Rouse Hill 10-7 with a last minute try, very flat game from us and never really got going. 2nd grade won 46-0 and 3rd grade lost 15-5

    Rebel v Tahs, round 15 2014

Goal kicking is still a huge worry, we won't get away with leaving 15 points behind in any of our other games this season. Andrew Merthans has a busy period ahead of him. Palu was awesome in defence and some of clear outs were top class, so what if he isn't doing flashy 60 metre runs anymore...
