    Where to for Super Rugby?

Of late the Waratahs have been drawing a couple of thousand more than Manly v Warringah. The diminishing Waratah fan base could almost be renamed Sydney Uni or GPS Old Boys.;)

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's one way of describing it.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The ARC/NRC model involved competitions played after the end of the Australian rugby calendar and I'm not advocating anything of the sort. Your mindset is out of date, you're still living in the pan-continental Super Rugby world in which Super Rugby and club rugby occur during the rugby season and ARC/NRC...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Pretty much guaranteed to alienate a large portion of the Sydney market before it even starts.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I've responded to this post rather than your main post to save space. Broadly speaking you're on the right track. Wallabies I'm 100% behind. Your 2 x next level rep teams I'm ambivalent about. It doesn't excite me, but I'm not passionately against it either. It could work if promoted...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I my view, this is the model which is doomed to failure. You're merely engaging with the same diminishing middle-aged fan base who support the current Super Rugby model. Not enough teams, not enough fan engagement and just more of the same. It's not a model which any other sport in Australia uses...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Fiji and Vanuatu were the two countries which I had heard on the possibles list - coincidentally places where lots of Aussies like to guy on holidays.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

I think that NZ is the only country whose citizens will be likely to gain entry to Australia in 2020. Possibly some of the PI, but I wouldn't be as certain.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Don't think non-Australian citizens from either SA or Argentina will get into Australia in the near to medium term.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think so. Particularly early in any competition, franchises need some security of tenure to make business decisions, recruit players and obtain sponsors.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I have never agreed with much that JON did, but canning the ARC was one of his better decisions.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

A bit of rugby heritage. Good to see then ARU President Roger Vanderfield on the sideline clapping the team onto the field.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I agree with this, there would be too much of a gap I think.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yes I've come to a similar conclusion, although for different reasons. I think we can retain Fiji/Suva in the same way that the Warriors play in the NRL. Fiji seem to have their act together and would give the competition a positive X factor. In regards Tonga/Somoa, I think there are just too...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I've followed Manly Rugby and Manly Warringah RL all my life. Rugby is definitely my first love, but I'll be tuning in to the league tonight. Very difficult match for me as decades of Parramatta hatred comes up against more recent (since they shafted Bennett) Broncos hatred. But it's this...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yes, but the problem with this iteration of the ARC was that the Sydney North team played at Central Coast stadium and Sydney City played at North Sydney Oval.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The Rays had good crowds early when it was a genuine Manly Warringah Norths Gordon joint venture. Where it ran off the rails was when you had players who played for Manly and Warringah end up playing for the Rams or the Stars. It completely lost the parochialism and that was all she wrote.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Manly and Warringah are indeed bitter rivals on the field, but both clubs have always had the position that if ever a national competition came into being then they would combine as one 'franchise.' Manly Warringah is the name of every just about every major sporting club/group on the beaches...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yes, I recalled the criticism by some of the JH headlines and I think I posted on another thread: RA $7 million in debt - acknowledged by RA RA on verge of bankruptcy - interim CEO acknowledges this by saying that the advance/loan from RA staved off bankruptcy RA Board moving against Castle -...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

What does Ballymore look like these days? I watched an All Black test there back in 1988 and it was fairly spartan then, but I assume it's been modernised? Didn't Mark McBain famously rebuild the change rooms when he was Qld coach?
