    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Suspect it's a combination of logistical exercise, with Georgia landing from Japan sometime this week and then flying back to Europe (mostly) straight after, and a Moore Park rebate making a small afternoon crowd more viable for RA. There are NRL games in Newcastle/Gosford and Melbourne to...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

The box kick was kicked back by the Welsh winger, and the Welsh chaser were then penalised for advancing in front of the kicker. This was the penalty that Wright then QTed, which eventually resulted in another penalty.

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

It "gifted" their winger the ball 18m out on the 5m line with almost every single other Welsh player 20m up field, nearly 30m from where White kicked it. The chase of the Welsh return kick is what was penalised for Wright's QT because all of the Welsh players were way offside. Result is penalty...

You get that all of his coaches have all told him to do this, right? Coaches do not want us to run with the ball in our half in the last 10mins of the game on a wet night, while winning. They want the ball box kicked up the other end

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

No matter what you think of Tom Wright's decision making, can we all agree that this was the single worst play of the weekend (outside of a lineout maul)

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

He would have been on the field for 5 mins when called up to make that penalty on the weekend. I did feel sorry for him. Pretty much his first act after 70min on the bench was a line drop out.

Donaldson was on the field by this point, hopefully not thinking about his last minute kick against Italy in 2022 What's the goal kicking percentage from 42m in front?

All the words wasted here on the 10, on the backrow and the back 3 does a feel a bit silly with the complete incompetence maul defence doesn't it

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Just happy we live in a world where we have guys like Tom Wright trying plays like that. World Cup final it might be a different story, but I'll take the entertainment value in the last 5 minutes of a July test thanks

Watch out other budding RugbyPass statisticians. The individual stats (and team ones?) are getting updated as we speak. Might need be a Monday morning thing rather than a Sunday

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

That was me! That was before we knew about the shoulder injury. I reckon now he was probably just shielding the injury rather than setting up a tactic, because he wasn't going too hard at breakdowns, and didn't really get close to a turnover

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Doesn't tell you everything, but it tells you something (although stats get revised by the look. Wright was on 1 tackle this time last week, and maybe his shoulder was done and he couldn't tackle) Last week 6 - Wright. 3 tackles. 7 runs for 10m 7 - McReight 12 tackles. 8 runs for 6m 8 -...

    Classic Schmidt tactic that one

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Think Williams was calling the attacking lineouts and a drunk guy in the crowd was calling the defensive lineouts close to the line
  18. Strewthcobber

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Suspect Schmidt will be happy with 8 penalties conceded and only 9 missed tackles. Valetini only 5 tackles, so he was playing Wright's role in defense from last week. It does mean he's fresh enough for 17 carries.
