And yet the ARU aren't going to put any money up for Hunt like they have for Folau. Again NSW get the better treatment. We have a salary cap then this outside payment system that isn't included in that. Anyone think this creates and unfair playing field and could be seen as a restriction of trade?

Good reasons to see Gill as the heir apparent over players like Cooper.

My theory on Horwill is that it is all to do with speed, or rather acceleration. He just doesn't have that acceleration off the mark that makes all the difference by the time you hit the defensive line or run at a half gap.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Yes, I am not afraid to question whether something is right or wrong no matter how big a name has said it. If you don't agree that the article was slanted more against the brumbies boys than the Tahs ones please say so.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Oh and just read Bob Dywer's article. Let me summarise: Wallabies good but can get better. Players I don't like played well, so have to give them some small compliment. Players that are non-Waratahs and below par are criticised (White, To'omua). Players that are Waratahs and below par are...

Since both Palu and Skelton aren't note jumpers, the best balance may be to have Skelton come off the bench, and start with Horwill or Carter. It also gives us a big running impact forward at the end of the game, when we tend to loose both TPN and Palu.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Last time we won a World Cup we used a very similar type mix in the backrow, albeit with a 7 who competed better at the breakdown but was less effective with ball in hand. Certainly you could compare the two sixes as alike though.

There was one point after he just injured his shoulder which wa clearly troubling him, yet he saw he need to get back in support - sprinted back and just as he got onside a kick was put through so he duly did a 180 and was the first chaser for the kick all the while his arm is hanging by his...

What does the availability of other players have to do with commenting (or not commenting) on another player's performance? The two don't have to be linked to one other. I for one hope that Foley improves greatly, because Link missed the chance in the final 20-30 of playing To'omua at 10 and...

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

I'll add one - I think he is playing too deep most of the time. You can see this when he runs - because it takes him so long to get to the defensive line! I'm also finding it difficult to remember a Foley pass leading to a try or even break. Think one kick did in the first game. On the other...

In what world does anyone make a dominant tackle against those three!!

Why can't To'omua play 12 in defense and 10 in attack? Might be a good way to have Beale involved instead of Foley. Or if we want a more robust 12 that still has the ball skills, Tapuai could team up with To'omua in future. I agree on your gut feel on the locks though. I say we let Skelton...

Ok good. Just looked at the time he got a 'flying start'. Just great timing then!

Looks like he could grow into being a great captain. Being under Link will help that a lot - he had clearly done a lot of work in the leadership and motivation area that he can help Hooper with. But on that kick off - Hooper looked way offside to me.

I don't think you've been watching very well. To'omua's passing had led to more tries than Foley's this series. Particularly the first game.

I thought Whites' decision making was average at times and he was also hoy and cold, but no where near as cold as Foley.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Terrible passing terrible handling. Only goal kicking and running ok. I think he has been the weakest player by far over the three tests. Even in the first which I re watched last night he was only average. If he doesn't improve greatly we won't compete with the ABs. Disappointed to see...

Yes, but I conveniently ignored that since the Reds had him first.

And before that comment is jumped on 'there is not the same money anymore' style. The point is that there is a system that allows this inequality in funding to different super teams. The ARU should not favour one team over another, which is clearly occurring at the moment. Better system would...
