Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2012

Orr has played prop for Trinity 13A,14A and 15A teams and then last year in their winning Ist XV. Also for CAS Under 16 team last year (where he played in a few other spots as well as needed!). So plenty of experience in the front row over many years - deserved selection.

    NSW U/16 Rugby 2012

Looks fair to me. GPS (8 selected)A beat CHS(5) in the final. ISA beat CAS(2) who beat CCC(0) and I don't think AICES beat anyone. Of course this doesn't account for great players on losing teams. Before anyone says anything - I often think that a player who looks good on a losing side must be...

I here Scots have pulled out of the "Battle of Bellevue Hill" annual game with Cranbrook. Pity to lose such a great tradition. Anyone know why?

I here that the "Battle of Bellevue Hill" is not going ahead this year. Pity to lose such a tradition. Anyone know why?

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

When it's wet, goal kicking is often the deciding factor.

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2012

    Agree Newbie. I Posted on CAS thread but generally speaking GPS just a bit faster and sharper across the park. Plenty of hard effort by all players. I hope goal kicking doesn't decide the interstate match - we're @":/-,;

    CAS Rugby 2012

Saw 1sts game today. GPS bigger, faster and more skilled. Line speed in defence was superb. If there was an opportunity GPS took it sharply both in close and out wide. CAS lineout was marred by inconsistent throws (GPS threw a few crooked ones too). Scrums ok for both. Worse goalkicking than the...

    CAS Rugby 2012

CAS 2nds 38-12 CHS 2nds and 1sts CAS 28-0 CHS Imagine what the scores would have been if the selectors hadn't made so many mistakes!!!

    CAS Rugby 2012

The best lineout so far has been Cranbrook - won every one on their own throw against Aloys, (even with Harry Williams best efforts) and have been secure in every other game - consistent and accurate throwing all season from the Cranbrook hooker to some good jumpers.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2012

St Augustine's continue their outstanding run. Scots are supposed to be challenging for the GPS title again and have a huge number of GPS, JGS rep players who are skilled, hard players so I don't understand this result at all. How did Horwitz, Stewart and Kellaway go against their Auggies...

    CAS Rugby 2012

Like this but don't think Aloys will get (m)any points and Knox will be hungry for a win so might upset predictions here.

    ISA Rugby 2012

This is reflected in the gap from under 16rugby to colts - Hard to play at club rugby for the last 2 years at school and after school finishes the lads are mature enough for colts. So school football is the only real option (except for real standouts) for age 16-18 and the level of competition...

    CAS Rugby 2012

Agree - too much nonsense - this website has NO influence on rep selections so spouting on about such stuff in an attempt to influence selection is of no benefit. Try to say some interesting constructive stuff - it is after all schoolboy rugby. Can we talk about wine instead? How's the 03...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2012

Defence issues - a bit lazy. Scots always say they'll beat everyone by "40+" points but every year it's the same old story. It's been a long long time since they actually did what they say they'll do! Time to put up.

    Not Quite! Waverley 40 - Scots 31!

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

High have a large rugby scholarships program starting. They aim to build up to equal their past rugby success and match the current success if their basketball program. Should be interesting.
