    Waratahs 2014

The try was magnificent as was the half time entertainment. I hope nsw rugby continue with the women's sevens at half time at home games. Definitely sparked up the crowd and very good for the women's game They were also very good and ferocious in their hits

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

me thinks any JV team will have to have all participants agreeing between clubs on a level not seen before. Each Club coach will want a % of his favored players considered. Particular playing style will favour one club over another causing dissappointment to the ones missing out. Selection of...

    Shute Shield 2014

I cannot but confirm that no monies are paid to wicks players this past year. This years accounts show some player expenses and they are to do with the end of season tour which was very successful. I am led to believe that some promising players are also considering their futures due to not...

No one has mentioned the Northern Territory. Some of the facilities up there are very good and there have been some good coaches engaged.Bet you would get a decent crowd too.

Wicks website confirms the Wally Meagher memorial trophy has been awarded to Chris Barron. A very deserving recipient and great club man.

Agree with you coach. More angles and motion in Union. However, will enjoy Mr Muggletons expertise which I hope will filter all the way to thirds colts

Munro was valiant when he finally started the season. He attacked well , was a strong jumper in the lineout and very good to a loose ball. I don't think he was as effective in the scrum and lost a bit of ball on the hit up. His attitude was excellent. I also thought Horowitz was excellent , as...

How do you rate the season for the firsts? I thought we did very well with most of the game plan and all the boys never lacked commitment and were up for every game. Breakdown, scrum and Backs defence lines need lots of work. Pass? Lets see what Reserves can do on Saturday and you may have...

Hoiles brought composure and the smarts in his appearance even if it was for only a short time. Take away the Souths big men early and wicks in with a very good chance especially if defence on the outskirts holds. Would like to see Wakin late in the second half if we are behind, as he is very...

Reserve grade at Manly on a very fine Sunday saw a gallant effort by Wicks to take out a win. All players did their jobs well Special mention to Vizer in a very determined pack and to Wakim and also Toese in a good display by the backs.

    Shute Shield 2013

lily absolutely correct. Manly very hard done by with the yellow. they certainly have the goods to beat Uni if they stay in their faces and the ref stays out of theirs. Uni need to get their rhythm and whoever can disrupt that has a chance.

    Shute Shield 2013

A very good win to Wicks considering this time last week they were cooked. Wests seemed out of sorts all day but credit to wicks and Horowitz who played well beyond his years.

Speechley tried hard all day and it was good to see Munroe get a talking to by the ref for a moderatly late hit - Showed they were still fighting. Would have liked to see Nio etc on deck, but doubt they would have changed the match. Thought both props and the hooker went well under the...

Every time the NSW teams have been dominated by one club they have underperformed. Stag is on the money.

    Shute Shield 2013

If the Shute shield format is to survive there will have to be limit to the amount of "contracted" players in any team and none below first grade. The weekend saw almost all on one team being professionals versus all amateurs. The result is well known. The week end score line as well as score...

All day entertainment for $15. Must be the best value in the land. Another fine day at Coogee with five grades playing. Fifth grade went down to a UNi outfit 50 -10. Seemed alot of the Uni boys had been dropped out of the four grades to make way for 'Paid' talent higher up. Strange to see ex...

Crunch time on Saturday. Trusting that all wicks teams will give a good account of themselves even though on paper they are 'supposedly ' outclassed. The one common thread in all the grades through out the season has been their tenacity and that can be seen by coach Kelly's comments in his...
