Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

One of these two teams are going to have a very bad day on Saturday. My impression with all three of these refs and especially Poite is that once you're on their bad side you are kayaking up a waterfall with no oars.

BH I'm certainly not attacking Mumm so please put the knives away. I think the game he played against the chiefs shows why he is in the squad he just wasn't putting in consistent enough performances for mine last year in gold. This discussion is so irrelevant to this match though so I'm...

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Perhaps I have my matches mixed up but I distinctly remember losing 3 line outs in a row in a match when Mumm replaced Simmons. And then the same thing happening the week later. I think he's a good player but was just not ready in time.

I wasn't thinking about that game at all actually, I was thinking about the quarter and the semi.

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

I would have to say Dean Mumm. I thought he really played poorly at the RWC. Absolutely stuffed our line out when he replaced Simmons off the bench as well. Every other selection has been correct IMO and that becomes more obvious over time. Perhaps Mumm and Cheika will prove me wrong...

Wouldnt count out Coleman. His attack work balances Simmons' impressive defense this season and he seems the type Cheika likes.

Of course, looking at our props, locks and back rowers though I'd say we are looking menacing at the breakdown and should be confident in holding our own at the very least in the scrums for this series.

    The Wallabies Thread

A few years ago on this blog statistics were posted either on the front page or in a forum on what platform lead to the most successful outcome (i.e. what was the net yardage or result off the next phase from a scrum/lineout/ruck) and iirc the line out was the most effective platform to play...

Absolutely. B&I Lions game two they lose one line out 10 metres away from our try line in the last couple of minutes - look for all money to score if they were to get it but they don't and we win the game.

    The Wallabies Thread

Test match rugby is for the most party significantly more focused on the set piece than Super Rugby. Especially against England. This is a thread for the Wallabies, specifically discussing who should be in the team versus England. Offloading is often a consequence of being on the front foot/...

His signing was exactly what this thread needed to get to 300 pages

    Reds 2016

From what I can see from his highlights posted by Sully above - he certainly takes advantage of a much slower game over there. If we did sign him balance in our back row would be paramount. I can't see him lasting 80 in Super Rugby any time soon and I think Curtis Browning's spot is safe...

Are you sure? I thought it was Simmons and Douglas. Douglas was injured early I seem to remember.

Has Harris ever played poorly at national level? I wouldnt say he is a world beater and never will be but I think he is a very solid option.

Exactly what I have been thinking. The best players step up when the competition gets harder and he did that. Very good option to balance the back three. For me Horne and Tomane should not start together when Tomane returns as we lack kickers and genuine pace in this backline. I see Horne as...

Listen no one's a bigger fan of quade than me (seriously, is the best player of the professional era the world has seen), but is he in a position to know who was really responsible for what?

    Reds V Hurricanes, Round 12, 14 May 2016

^ would have thought Ready had more involvements than that. I guess the ones he did have were just extremely effective.
