    Reds 2015

It looks like a BLK thing so not all teams will be doing the Super Hero weekend, from what I can see. Actually , it looks like only the Reds and Rebels have themed jerseys.

    QLD Colts 2015

Where has the sudden surge in talent come from SX? Its a pretty impressive feat to go from essentially the weakest Colts program in the comp (not trying to be offensive there) to being able to knock off two heavyweights.

Good to see GPS Prems cause the upset over Uni, however, Uni as a club will still walk away from Yoku with their heads held high. In all my years of being a part of GPS I have never witnessed another club come to Yoku Rd and dominate nearly every grade like Uni did, well done to them. Quite a...

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

Graham stepping into a lesser role would be a structural nightmare for all involved. Think about your workplace, would the CEO voluntarily step down to middle management and work under someone who is essentially being told to fix his mistakes? I would think in most cases it simply would not...

Mate I think you need to take a break as you've clearly got your own agenda on what you think needs to be said as it holds no relevance to what I'm trying to say. In none of my posts have I mentioned anything about players being highly regarded. Read before you post.

TT I don't think many GPS blokes are worthy of NRC spots but rather what Reg said. Majority of the blokes in the backline have played some form of professional or rep footy and you get the feeling that a season at GPS has been more about a stepping stone than wanting to be involved at the club...

RE the GPS v Easts game. Firstly, as a supporter, the crowd was disappointing which is not a good sign. GPS set piece was dominant at times but it didn't matter as the backs had no spark. Lots of chatter from the crowd about who was actually playing for GPS, the only back who has been there 2+...

Funny you say that Scrubber as his ball carrying ability was a highlight in the NRC

Tui should be a stand out at club level. Granted it may take a few weeks for him to get match fit but I wouldn't expect many more 50pt drubbings for Norths, a bloke of his caliber hopefully lifts the other players.

    Reds 2016

I think having McIntyre and Greene in the Reds 23 is Knuckles way of saying no more jerking around, one of these blokes will be our 10 next season with Frisby at 9.

I've heard Marco Kotze is starting for GPS this weekend. He could be the forwards leader GPS need to knock off the Tigers. The back line has been red hot each week but the forward pack is getting belted which makes it impossible for front foot ball.

McDuling would probably be looking overseas at this stage anyway one would think. He must realize he won't have a long career due to injury but is still handy when he takes the field. Probably not a bad idea to make a few quid in Japan or similar while he can. I forgot about Murday, hopefully...

Who do we think gets another contract to backup Simmons and Neville? Kotze, McDuling or EOD? I reckon they will only re-sign one of them and look for a young bloke in the EPS.

Jets, on your point above, I have no problem with clubs stacking lower grades sides of blokes who want to play together, GPS have done it for years but the teams above have also been strong in that time. It wasn't detrimental to others aspects of the club. I think the reason Norths 2nds are...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

I'm tipping a cracking day of rugby this weekend at Yoku. Most excited I've been in a long time. I think score lines in most games will be close and hopefully this bit of rain will have the fields looking great.

Out of the unsigned I get the feeling we won't be seeing EOD, Robinson, Quirk, the Faingaas, Turner, CFS and Tapuai in Red again.

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

I never said there was anything wrong with old school but yes Reg, a strong set piece is part of that approach and I agree with it. To dumb it down for everyone who didn't get my point. Knuckles, old school hard man mentality = good Stiles, values tough forwards with strong set piece = good...

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

I mentioned this in the QPR thread that I think Shane Arnold is in line for the attacking coach position with the Reds. His role has already expanded to coaching box privileges on game day this year and he has no direct ties to any Brisbane clubs at the moment. If the Aus 20s go well I think...

Fair enough, I saw some of the guys who have been running out for that 2nds team, the Lynagh bros, Ray stowers, Ralph susuave and they wouldn't look out of place in 1sts or higher in most clubs around Brisbane. Some players do just prefer playing lower though due to other commitments as you say.
