I'm sure you'll be able to see Easts next Sunday in the Prelim neilc ;)

There won't be a field change unfortunately, runsonrum. I've seen the official email and it says they had considered spreading the games across other grounds but already decided against it. Everyone will just have to deal with it.

The real gaffe here is the scheduling conflict with the Wallabies game on Saturday night. I feel sorry for the 8.25am kickoff 4th grade players who wanted to enjoy the footy and have some beers on Saturday night!

My mail is that the QRU hired out Ballymore to Liverpool FC on Saturday and thus finals can't be played that day. Not sure if that is accurate as they play the Roar on Friday night, but maybe they want the fields to warm down or something on the Saturday.

I believe the Wests Premier Colts players who got suspended for fighting in the GPS game a few weeks got 3 weeks on the sidelines? If that is the precedent set at the moment for in-game fighting then I would imagine Ngauamo will be looking at least 6-9 weeks of suspension. Pretty poor form...

    Reds 2016

Gel, funnily enough there is a big media blow up in the US at the moment about DeAndre Jordan (NBA Player) making a verbal agreement to join one team and then a few days later reneging on the deal and signing a contract with another team. That situation seems minor to what is happening in Rugby...

    Reds 2016

Front page of GAGR reporting Genia approaching the ARU to backflip on his french deal. I might be in the minority but I reckon its in his best interets, the Reds and Australian rugby if Genia goes overseas. His form has been sliding (not majorly but well down on 2010/11) and the Reds seem to...

    QLD Colts 2015

Taking nothing away from Wests Premier Colts this year, they have achieved better than previous years, but does regular forfeits in Colts 1 really equate to a fantastic results for the colts program? In fact, so many forfeits that the QRU removed them from the competition as of last weekend. To...

    Reds 2016

Schatz seems to be holding his position more by default than merit at the moment.

I don't think he necessarily needs to dumb his game down. A lot of people forget he is still only young (23 I believe) but has been with the Reds now for a number of seasons. A lot of his decision making has/will evolve as he gets older and learns to read the game better, this will also come by...

Was great to watch GPS get the win yesterday. It was definitely the best game Nick Frisby has played in the last few years (at any level) and he was really the difference maker, great to see him playing a full game in his preferred position. Its likely GPS will manage to finish the year with a...

    QLD Colts 2015

Correct, according to RugbyLink the forfeits by Wests in both Premier Colts and Colts 1 have already been processed. How did they go from beating some heavy hitters to forfeiting a top level game of rugby? Really disapointting. Monster can you shed any light on the incident against GPS? It...

I hope I don't get crucified for changing the topic away from Easts. I see a lot of similarities in this years Brother's team and GPS circa 2012/13, although Brothers have the advantage of a potential superstar flyhalf guiding them around the field, something which was identified as a GPS...

It looks like a very lean year down at Yoku in terms of teams making the finals. At this stage I think only one or two teams will probably make it which is a far cry from when the club won 5 Premierships a couple of years ago. Watching a few games across the grades the last few weeks and it...

Not 100% without seeing the lists but I'm fairly sure Kotze, Kuridrani and Radike are the only contracted blokes playing for GPS this weekend.

I think everyone is a bit unsure about it at this stage. Apparently he wants to play for GPS but the Rebels aren't happy and wanted him to stay in Victoria, although I don't believe he was signed for the 2016 season. He might just end up being a highly qualified water-runner for the last few games.

Apparently all contracted Reds players have been given the 'opportunity' to play club rugby this weekend, it is their choice, even those in the Wobs squad. For GPS, apparently Frisby (injury) is the only one definitely not playing this weekend. Radike Samo was also down at training last night.

I'm really backing Brothers to do the job because I think Anthony Mathison is at a point in his coaching career where he has the right mix of innovation and experience to guide a well rounded team to a Premiership. That and the players motivation to get a Premiership before he leaves.

Fairly sure Murday is Souths as well? Out of the teams who are really in finals contention they will reap the most rewards if Robinson, CFS, Murday and (possibly) Thomson play.

I predict the ladder will finish - 1. Easts 2. Brothers 3. Uni 4. Souths Easts to beat Bros in Major Semi. Uni to beat Souths in Minor Semi. Bros to beat Uni in Prelim final. Bros to beat Easts in GF.
