    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Some pleasing rumours about GPS finally circulating. I've heard the 'old guard' are rolling out in 2016 to help the club. Ellis, Mcwhirter, Psczonka, McVerry, Zangari and possibly even Dan Heenan. If all those guys suit up it would be great for the club.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I said earlier in the week that having Pocock and Folau out would give the Scots a significant mental edge as it makes the Wallabies team on paper look much more vulnerable. That seemed to be the case as they were able to match the physicality and then pickup points here and there. Honestly...

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

JOC (James O'Connor) is essentially the rugby version of a child movie star. Was given the fame and fortune before he knew how to handle it and now it's giving him headaches. Although I must say those who knew him during his Nudgee days will tell you he wasn't exactly the most humble fellow to begin with.

TGB will you be attending the meeting? Any chance you could report back on any truths or misgivings that have been mentioned on the forum (if they are brought up at the meeting). I actually wouldn't mind going along but I'm afraid I'd be spotted for an impostor before I get out of the carpark.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

If I were coaching the Wallabies in this situation (disclaimer: I will never actually be allowed to coach the Wallabies) then I would do everything possible to make sure that at least one of Pocock or Folau take the field against Scotland. By all reports both those players are going to be...

Surprising that Talakai has gone to Souths, I thought he was one of Dammers Disciples. Bobby Tuttle may end up at any club in Brisbane by the sounds of it, just goes to show nothing is locked in until they take the field for Rnd 1.

Pool of Death? More like Pool of Medium to Intermediate Level Difficulty! Go Wallabies!

Its a conversation for another forum but Marist hasn't produced any significant amount of high caliber players for GPS since the 05/06/07 years. Also not sure about the rugby league thing as my mail tells me the higher ups there have vetoed any moves by the school to get involved in the sport...

gws, from the rumblings that have been coming from the senior playing group at GPS in the last few months I believe that most of the guys mentioned would have been leaving Yoku Rd anyway, however, I doubt that many of them would have chosen Norths as their new club had their not been money put...

A bunch of guys already made the jump from GPS to Norths for the 2015 season, the Fijian fellow (pretty sure its Api Nayobo?), Mitch Fuller, Doug Raymond and the Satui's to name a few. Will be an interesting situation as I thought quite a few of them wanted to stay loyal to Fogs and Sio and get...

I've also heard Bobby Tuttle is off to Brothers, not Norths. Might have something to do with his former Prem Colts coach Kelevi Tuicolo heading to Brothers to coach Premier Reserve.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Yeh Wales played with width but seemed to stand deep on that first pass of the ruck, through some hands and then hit nice and wide. The Wallabies v Uru were going one pass off the ruck then straight to the sideline. A good defense should be able to cover that.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I spend quite a bit of time up the Sunshine Coast and I think you'll be hard pressed to find a pub that will stay open that late/early. Although I'm not really hip the whole club scene so might be wrong. There is an Irish bar at Noosa that might show it but I'm pretty sure it turns into a...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I think we will see a completely different game plan than the one which the Wallabies played against Uruguay. Last night there was lots of 2-3 man cut passes with the idea being the Wobs wingers could get one on one with the less experienced players, that won't work the same against at England...

Would playing for the Japanese Super Rugby team also count towards them getting residency or whatever it is that allows players to play for a country after living their for a set amount of years? Japan could end up with quite a strong national side if some of these younger guys who still want to play Super Rugby...

Why is the season starting so early again? I thought this year was a bit of an anomaly due to the RWC and thus they wanted to get it done earlier. Playing trial games in mid-late Feb isn't ideal but looks like it'll be happening again.

Ill refrain from naming the players I know of (for now) until everything is locked in, but you can expect to see AT LEAST another 3 run-on Premier Grade GPS players at Norths in 2016, if everything goes the way it currently is. Again, its still very early and things can change considerably as...

I think Norths may have opened a can of worms which could end up biting them in the ass personally. Lets say their new model works, they bring in enough good players with the offer of $$$ and make a decent run in the finals, maybe even win the thing. For me, logically the next thing that...

That's a good question nenenoah about where all the other guys will go, as I heard yesterday that its not just a handful of GPS guys being targeted, apparently quite a few Prems players from all clubs have been contacted by Norths. Not sure how many will leave their clubs though, a part from GPS...

Fair enough, never seen it before myself. Ah well, same result on the other sideline, nice work.
