    Reds V Sharks - Round 13

Really glad to hear that other people are getting the shits with Marto tonight. Hyperbole abounds.

    Rebels 2013

Were Hegarty and Dyer only on 1 year contracts?

    Rebels 2014

Sensibly, Hill will stay if we don't get any better applicants. Personally, I am coming around to the idea of Todd Louden. He's had a positive impact on every team he's been involved in and I suspect he's been ready for the next level ever since he was assistant to McKenzie at the Waratahs...

    REBELS v CHIEFS Round 12

Pretty much agree with Athilnaur and Swingpass's assessments. I was particularly impressed with Tom English last night. He's probably played himself into another start on the wing with that performance. Higginbotham stood up again and Pyle was simply sublime; who has the presence of mind and...

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

I think you might be overstating things a bit there.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Carter seemed to have a big impact in the game via his leadership. Really calmed down the Crusaders when they were flighty.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Frustrating game to lose. All credit to the Crusaders, stronger up front and more disciplined. Good signs from the Rebs at least.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

The sad thing was, I was thinking just before he kicked it "I hope he doesn't try to kick it too far with this wind".

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Heart in your mouth stuff from the Rebels, where has this been all season?

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

He might as well be playing 10, the amount of time he is in at first receiver.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

I dunno, Pyle and Neville were pretty handy all half. The loosies weren't bad either.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

That was sort of my point. Rebels deserved to be punished for leaving a gap that large. Went to sleep before half time and that really isn't good enough.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Interesting final penalty to the Crusaders. Even the NZ commentators seemed to think it was a bit stiff. Then again, somewhat deserved for that Luke Romano run.

You mean outside the forward pack? Crazy talk.

    Rebels 2013

At the same time, the better way to do that is to provide definite pathways to the elite which the Rebels at least appear to be doing. Bringing back someone who has made it from another province isn't going to make the kids think that they can make it at the highest level any more than they...

Rebels vs Kings Super Rugby R9 - Saturday April 13

Inman's shoulder was shot. He was not right to go back on the field after it was injured and was subbed because of it. Rebels only have themselves to blame for tonight. Too many bad decisions/mistakes. Jordy Reid's was a certifiable example of such.

    Rebels 2013

There's no such thing as a 'natural positon' after under 15s. That's why rugby players train their positions to learn how to play them better. JOC (James O'Connor) probably does have a great deal more of the composure required for a Super Rugby level 10 currently. But that's like getting a colts player into...

    FORCE v REBELS R8 2013

Terrible attitude. If a team beats you, they're not "inferior". The Rebels did a lot of good work to ensure that the bit of luck that went their way was enough to win. I won't suggest they are perfect but dismissing a loss as "luck" and then ragging on the other team is poor poor form.
