    Err. Could you elucidate?

The roots of this sort of violence are deep in Melbourne, apparently. It is almost certainly based on historical enmities between old enemies : Croats, Serbs, and so on.

    Waratahs 2023

Maybe it will generate some good publicity.

    Shute Shield 2023

It sounds as though the Woodies are on track to move to the Hills District. I hope there will be some publicity after the annual meeting.

This was nothing compared to some of the tribal warfare that used to be on display.

    Wallabies 2023

I admit that I thought it was crazy to put money into a winger for the Rebels, when at the time they were really understrength in the second row.

So the decision was made by apparatchiks, eh, not the best rugby brains in the land? Can you name names?

Wilson has played at the highest level. The only way to judge Gleeson is to put him there as well. Not long to go, decisions have to be made quickly.

Believe it or not, we all change as the years mount up. Eddie is walking away from his English gig with a very fat wallet. His roots are here. He is getting on in years. How would you, or I, or anybody else except a handful of close friends and relatives know what he thinks?

Plenty of gloom to go around, eh?

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

We don't have enough money to buy adequate publicity for our game, either Sevens, or Fifteens, women or men. When the Premier of NSW explained the failure of Australia to beat Argentina in the soccer World Cup, he said that Argentina only plays one sport, but we play several. When this sort...

The money aspect is interesting. Maybe he's got enough? At the end of the day he is an Aussie, maybe love of country will trump love of lucre?

He'll be able to spend some time with his mum!!

Meanwhile Jessica O'Halloran (noted rugby hater) asserts that Eddie Eyebrows has got a job with RA. Believe it or not.

It is indicative of our low profile when the Premier of NSW stated that Argentina "only plays one sport, and we play many".

Maybe it has something to do with the relative importance, and player depth, between them and us. We play a niche sport, and I would guess that many Aussie kids who play rugby also play other codes: whereas in New Zealand I would guess that most kids who play rugby see it as their only winter...

I recall reading a while ago that the incidence of death by heart attack went up when the ABs lost. Now, that is intense!!

If it makes you a bad person, I must be worse (I used to have a British passport, but cannot stand them as sporting competitors).
