    Reds 2023

TBH I am glad they will have Uru on the paddock. It is a very tough decision to leave him out but with Wilson, Wright and McReight who would you leave out instead from the back row?

Having no NRC is better how?

My proposal is that RA would do the heavy lifting with funding. Say a $1.5 m injection. would mean the need to find a sponsor ship package or god forbid we took some money out of the professional paypackets. if every Super Rugby and Wallaby contracted player gave back a little each (5 to 10 %) I...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Like most outfits though, they will need to develop the tight five to feed this crew.

Having no NRC is better how?

I think we should look at the third tier, in whatever form it takes, as a 5 - 8 year program that will start small and grow. By using a promotion / relegation model of existing clubs we would be able to tap into a core base of support rather than start from scratch with new outfits. Plus it...

Having no NRC is better how?

third tier is for us to identify and develop up and coming talent in preference to flogging the same limited group from Super teams. If we end up watching the reds/tahs/rebs/force/brums in different colour jerseys what do we achieve?

Having no NRC is better how?

dont have a problem with disagreement. Do have a problem with not thinking outside the box and being proactive to improve our game. Definition of insanity is to continue doing the same and expecting a different result. Therefore if what we have done and tried for last 20 years has got us to a...

Having no NRC is better how?

that was one of the hidden objectives. to get the melbourne (Dewar Cup) some support with higher class players and potentially more local interest - supporters. I keep hearing that Rugby needs to expand its wings. In my mind we need to have more high quality vehicles for all the talented players...

Having no NRC is better how?

as long as the rep team wasnt loaded with super rugby players i suggested this so the next layer down could get some exposure and development.

Having no NRC is better how?

4 of those palyers are from Bond. Why werent they in the top 3 ? My suggestion was for multiple reasons, including the NRC concept doesnt seem to have the strong support it needs from some sectors. 1. give opportunity for us to see other players than the closed group of the wider reds (super...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

So coach wise we have the following as I understand it UQ - Elton Berrange Souths - Garrick Morgan Norths - Pat Byron Wests - Elwee Prinsloo Sunnybank - Brothers - Easts - Ben Mowen Bond Uni - GPS - Shane Arnold Can anyone fill in the gaps?

Having no NRC is better how?

How about this idea to bridge the gap between club and state levels. An NPC type comp between Oct/Nov/Dec ? top 3 clubs from QPR top 3 clubs from Shute Shield top club from Melbourne top club from Canberra top club from Perth one team of Aust u20 or barbarians/ invitational. 10 teams equates to...

Luke Oxford will be at UQ with EB I believe. Been a transition over a few years that set up so you would expect things to be pretty smooth with maybe a little new flavour.

    QLD GPS 2023

On the contrary. Six Nations is one of the pinnacles in rugby. Players work hard to develop their ability to be selected to play at this level. Some work hard for many many years including their schoolboy days. Schoolboys on the other hand are a low level stepping stone that untold numbers of...

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

I agree with the shuffling of the coach, I reckon every wallaby jersey is up for review. Many incumbents will retain but they are on notice to perform. I am sure there will be a few "bolters" getting on a plane to France later this year.
