    Wallabies 2024

He was Super Rugby Player of the Year at 10 in 2021 and was also the best 10 and first player picked at 10 for the Wallabies in 2020 (admittedly all the other options were rookies) before injury intervened. He reads and manages the game well, plays well flat at the line with players in motion...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

I think the problem is the raised knee. I know te wingers do it to protect themselves but - in this case - it only served to make his charge down far more dangerous.

Haha - yes, you are right. Dumb comment from me.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Have to say I’ve been very happy with the Queenslanders at test level. By and large they are all going well IMO. Probably the only issue is Daugunu’s red card. I thought he was playing well prior to that. Otherwise I thought Tate & Wilson played really well last night. McReight has been...

    Wallabies 2024

It’s because it’s in a position where we are struggling. He’s also an experienced head who has succeeded at test level before. Not saying I agree with it - in fact I’d be very cautious given his injury run and his last few showings at test level - but I won’t be surprised if he’s pulled into...

Yeah - I thought Tate was excellent. Surprised there is any criticism of him after the game.

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Obviously Wilson is a favourite of mine and I shared concerns over how he and Valetini would work together. After that game I have to say I’m pretty happy. He took a number of lineouts and showed he is a viable third option. Not as strong as someone like Wright or Cale, but won clean ball...

    Reds v Wales, Suncorp Stadium - 19/7

I’m not a ref but my interpretation is that when they say you can’t change your bind they are talking about the guys on the edge who are trying to swim around the outside. So, by changing their bind, they are being deemed to detach from the maul and therefore would be offside if they attach...

Just watching the interview with Asiata. How good is our depth at 2 all of a sudden.

Is it too late for O’Connor to get picked at 10 for the Wallabies?

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Fair enough too to give BR a hard time about the MOM votes. Clearly biased. Whilst we are talking about MOM is there anyway the voting can be opened pre-game. I know I’m going to be busy tomorrow night and I wanted to get my votes in for Wilson, McReight and Tim Ryan before the game starts so I...

I believe Schmidt was crying in the first test. Geoff Parking was asking why they couldn’t play ‘God Save the King’

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

I’m guessing the Reds would have been free to contract Canham beyond the initial term of his contract but that only the initial period was covered by RA. I’m assuming it would be easy enough to fashion a contract to those terms wouldn’t it? Either for the Reds or for any of the other teams.

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

I guess I just find it an odd statement given that it seems to be exactly what a lot of players are doing. Whatever your thoughts on their relative merits the 2024 Rebels appear to have far more appeal than the 2025 Tahs. I’d say your statement is not controversial as such - it just doesn’t...
