Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I think the problem was acute in 2020. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad now. We do still have a problem with lack of experience by comparison to other teams but the two issues, while related, aren’t the same.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I agree that some of this has been by necessity, and feel like Rennie was absolutely impacted by this. But doesn’t mean they aren’t being rushed. They absolutely are and it has happened for some time. I disagree it is just Waratahs and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I’ve been guilty of it too...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I know it won’t happen - but maybe we should just stop overhyping all these young guys. Jorgenson has done enough to impress successive Wallabies coaches so that is something, but he is basically having trouble staying on the field at the moment. As for Bowen - let’s at least wait until he’s...

    Waratahs 2025

Well - I think I joined here about 2010. Hopefully he is still kicking around down there and would no doubt love seeing Carter back with the Tahs.

Out of interest - how is Bruce Ross these days?

    Queensland Reds 2025

I thought Grealy was developing nicely and kicked along this year. To the point where he would be looking for a pay rise at the same time as Daugunu and Anderson being on the table with Daugunu re-establishing himself as a test player, and Tim Ryan also playing the house down. I imagine that...

    Western Force 2025

I believe I read he cancelled himself out because his fitness wasn’t up to test level.

    Waratahs 2025

That seems a pretty good unit. McCaffrey’s CV is the lightest but with McKellar and Catt to defer to you’d think it’ll be a good environment for him to develop. But McKellar, Palmer and Catt all have the experience to run a very good program. If some of the stories about Tom Carter are true...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I won’t be surprised if Blyth gets the bench spot for his size. Frost and Salakai-Loto would be our biggest two locks, wouldn’t they and also give us athleticism and physical presence. Both have to work on their accuracy but they seem the most likely starting pair to me. They have all the...

Guys - you realise you’re not even arguing really?

    Queensland Reds 2025

Grealy signed with the Force and Vunivalu appears on the outer. Despite my post above there have been regular reports Petaia won’t at the Reds next year. That would leave us only Daugunu, Campbell and Ryan as specialist back three players. Anderson gives us depth with Super Rugby experience...

    Queensland Reds 2025

I’m also wondering if the current injury makes it harder for him to try the NFL pathway and reduces his appeal to the wider market. If he really wants to go I’m sure he’ll find somewhere but i could also see potential for him to try and stay one more year in the hope of staying fit and pushing...

    Queensland Reds 2025

The fact that they keep reporting on Petaia’s injury status with regards to Wallabies selection gives me some hope he’ll be retained

    Western Force 2025

Maybe someone more enlightened can correct me if I’m wrong but I think you’ve touched on a key point there BH. My understanding is that RA effectively low balled some players that the Tahs would have otherwise liked to keep as they knew they had to find a home for a group of Rebels players...

    Waratahs 2025

Also report Kailea, Dobbins & Angelo Smith are signing. Mike Catt has pretty extensive experience and Palmer is clearly well regarded. Some significant on both the coaching and player front.

    Western Force 2025

Are we just talking the big names or all players? Because that makes no sense at all to me. Even with all the players who have left the Tahs and the guys already signed OS there are still going to be 15 odd players without a contract. Why would RA discourage them from signing with the Force?

    Western Force 2025

Very good guy. He’ll be a great pick up.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Well - he’s big. He’s a promising young prop. I figure Kiss & Co will be pretty happy with his showing v Tonga and I expect he will start getting Super rugby time next year. But he hasn’t achieved anything of note in seniors and I don’t think a label like that has any real foundation nor does...

I don’t think we’ve ever had better depth at prop, have we. On top of the four with test experience I thought last year was Fa’agese’s best year I can recall him playing and De Lutiis seems to be coming along nicely.
