Ap1 any thoughts from an aloys perspective of what you think should happen rugby wise re the CAS survey? Is there a good crop of young talent, albeit without depth of numbers, that just needs a stronger rugby program / department? Interested to hear from someone on the ground week to week

2 teams plus reserves seems ample to represent 6 teams. 46 players out of a pool 90 starting first XV players… I’ve never quite understood it. I don’t doubt that there is more player depth in the gps but when it comes to best v the best then the additional 2 teams feels redundant

Sorry WLF I should have said 13,D, 14D and 15D… and now 16D. So only fielding 3 teams in each age group this weekend where there would normally be 4+ The bottom team in each is now a combined C/D side with a big bench. Yes it’s definitely in all schools… can’t take a trick

Interesting. It’s definitely 18 in the school year unless you seek exemption, and it can’t be your 3rd year in the firsts. Knox had a winger that wasn’t allowed to play in year 12 a few years ago (it was his 3rd year in the firsts). Had to play Gordon colts instead.

He's got s strong league background. Moved to North Queensland cowboys at 15 and got homesick before going back to Kempsey and playing for the knights. He was then signed by Souths as a 16 year old for 2 years, played SG Ball and boarded at joeys. Always looked like a league player playing rugby...

I hear / read that the waves 13s are a special group. Did many of the them play state champs on the weekend? Or are they school rugby, club league kids? Either way their results have been phenomenal.
