So Edmed is at 10, Donaldson 15, Swinton 6, Gamble 8, Max J to debut on the wing - should be a cracking game

Yeah it’s A… 2 gps, a few isa and then 1 round of CAS…. So 10 games in total (plus a trial in the last week of Easter holidays)

Swinton will be there assuming he’s fit. Rennie is a noted fan and he is the best lineout exponent out of our backrow stocks particularly at 2. I don’t think we will take a 6th lock with Holloway and Ned providing cover.

Has anyone had any information as to whether CAS will revert to home and away for 2023? Not a question as to whether that’s the right or wrong thing to do, more interested in whether there has been any decisions made - the CAS website is never a great source of up to date information

but I bet he plays his heart out to get that triple bar… so the point stands. These kids are not only competing for a triple bar but also gps selection and further rep honours which all happens on the back of this “trial” period given (as I mentioned earlier) those teams are selected 30mins...

I think the adults on this forum would toss a coin… I’ve seen them both at full strength and they are both great sides… you would get a different result more often than not… and importantly, both sides would be trying their best to win… the “we don’t take trials as seriously as you do” rubbish...

So just to confirm there’s 3-4 trials (some internal some external holiday games) followed by another 6 trials (as you put it) in which only one association take seriously for 5 of those games whist the other association doesn’t take seriously or include their best players… then 30 minutes after...

These numbers are deceiving. It really should be about senior school numbers for rugby. The Knox numbers include the large Knox Prep which is 750 kids plus Wahroonga prep which is a co-ed k-6 school under the Knox umbrella which has 260 and 2100 in the senior school

The only logic that you can apply is that the last 5 years have shown that on any Saturday 3 of the 6 CAS sides and 5 of the 9 GPS sides can, and do, beat each other regularly. (And with the recent resurgence of shore that may be 6 if the next few years follow the same trajectory) in your...

I’d agree with that. And with alloys withdrawing from 14a and 15a and only fielding 9 teams in total it makes it very difficult to find games for teams (amplified now with the removal of GPS for the entire season)… during the CAS rounds this year a couple of knox age group teams had a “bye” due...

That’s a concern. Do we think CAS subsequently reverts to 2 rounds as well? Difficult scheduling with Alloys not playing in the 14 or 15a’s rounds this year and fielding 9 teams in total
